Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Custer and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0730hrs S-4 Resupply bird Dolphin (174 Aviation) tail #570 is on station. At 1455hrs 1-20 Infantry Primo 2 (11 Brigade Aviation) on station and broke station at 1600hrs. At 1530hrs Resupply Bird, Dolphin broke station. At 2227hrs 1-20 Infantry LZ Custer is on practice Alert, Reaction force 100% at 2229hrs, Alpha Company, Delta Company at 2229hrs, 4.2 and 105 at 100% at 2228hrs, cease fire was called at 2231hrs. Alert terminated at 2236hrs satisfactory. Legend: 1st Platoon 59, 2nd Platoon 56, 3rd Platoon 89, 4th Platoon 97, CO-29.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for Chu Lai. SP4 Guy W. Thomas was evac to 91st Evac Hospital medic. SP4 Jessie L. Parker and SP4 Santos S. Chalmers reported sick to Company B 23rd Medical Battalion at 1000hrs.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued with their Security Mission for LZ Vanguard. At 2227hrs Practice Alert Alpha Company and Delta Company at LZ Custer Alert terminated at 2236hrs and rated Satisfactory.
Bravo Company

At 2130hrs Bravo Company at BS535515 requested a priority Dust Off for 1 US with laceration approximately 1’ long will need stitches in neck, Dust Off completed at 2226hrs by Dusty #57 (Individual was Ladd, Raymond E.) Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for Minh Long.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company (-) will continue their Security Mission for LZ Custer and Part of Charlie Company and Recon Platoon on their Stand Down in Chu Lai. At 2227hrs 1-20 Infantry LZ Custer is on practice Alert, Re Action force 100% at 2229hrs, Alpha Company, Delta Company at 2229hrs, 4.2 and 105 at 100% at 2228hrs, cease fire was called at 2231. Alert terminated at 2236hrs satisfactory.
Delta Company

Delta Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Custer. At 0905hrs Delta Company 2nd Platoon is moving out on a security patrol to BS512565 and closed back on LZ Custer at 1040hrs. At 2227hrs 1-20 Infantry LZ Custer is on practice Alert, Re Action force 100% at 2229hrs, Alpha Company, Delta Company at 2229hrs, 4.2 and 105 at 100% at 2228hrs, cease fire was called at 2231hrs. Alert terminated at 2236hrs satisfactory.

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Custer, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the coordination responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon and part of Charlie Company is in Chu Lai for their Stand Down. At 2227hrs 1-20 Infantry LZ Custer is on practice Alert, Re Action force 100% at 2229hrs, Alpha Company, Delta Company at 2229hrs, 4.2 and 105 at 100% at 2228hrs, cease fire was called at 2231hrs. Alert terminated at 2236hrs satisfactory.
