Battalion Forward: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and continued their working with the ARVN units in their Area of Operations.
Battalion Rear: Battalion Rear continued their Mission for providing general support for the Battalion.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. Alpha Company reports all snakes are in Location at 2000hrs.
Bravo Company
October 9, 1969
Bravo Company is using Day logger and multiple patrolling in their Area of Operation today and working Security with 26 Engineer. At 0645hrs Bravo Company we are moving out to day logger. At 0725hrs When the RF were moving out on their operation, they took a couple sniper rounds. They returned fire and after sweeping through the area with the help of the Bravo Company 54 element they had negative results and the situation is now under control (BS785434). At 0820hrs Bravo Company and 26 Engineer, the PF took sniper fire in the area of BS 789446 and they have at least 3 Vietnamese WIA, Command and Control Helicopter Dust Off 1 Vietnamese and Dust Off 88 Dusted off 2 Vietnamese from BS789436 (Where the Access and Highway 1 come together).
Charlie Company

Charlie Company is at Chu Lai and will continue their Stand Down.
Delta Company

At 1020hrs Delta Company at BS797304 spot 4 VC/NVA at BS794311 and is moving north to engage with small arms fire with negative results. At 1200hrs Delta Company is now at BS817287, and at 2025hrs Delta Company established their Night Defense Position at BS805315.
Echo Company
October 9, 1969
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. At 0610hs 4.2 Platoon reports Observe Mission 1 with total expend 6 HE rounds. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued to work and observe in their Area of Operations and return to LZ Liz.
