Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located on LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in the Duc Pho Area of Operations. At 0845hrs 1-20 Infantry request 4 tracks for Bravo Company and 4 tracks with Charlie Company basis starting 10 May, was approved.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 2115hrs LZ Bronco Base Defense spotted 2-3 VC at BS814415 also 3-4 VC at BS802407 fired mortars and artillery, movement stopped. At 2155hrs LZ Bronco Base Defense spotted 4-5 VC moving south to BS81954058, then increased to 8-9 VC moving south to BS81984030 the south to BS81984021 10-12 VC engaged with quad 50 and mortars, target ended.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz and Conducts a Recon in Force to BS712422, BS758458, and BS740451. At 1635hrs Alpha Company at BS705421 observed 2 VC engaged with negative results, check are and found 1 M-26 grenade destroyed.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company moved southeast to link with tracks conduct Recon in Force to Vicinity BS7540. Bravo Company with one platoon and tracks conducts a Recon in Force to vicinity BS748409, BS743392 and BS746438. At 1500hrs Bravo Company at BS740408 spot 3 VC/NVA in green uniform evading east, tried to follow them, but lost them. At 1509hrs Bravo Company at BS731408 found RPG Launch site, bunkers and foxholes, bandages with fried blood, paper with names they think were killed at ambush site, also diagram for training.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company conducts one platoon in a Recon in Force to vicinity BS765379 and Charlie Company conducts with one platoon with tracks a Recon in Force to BS745363 and BS754370.
Delta Company

Delta Company continued their joint operations with 1 Platoon of PRU to secure Pacification Program in Hamlet vicinity BS785428 and conduct Recon in Force to BS813425. At 0643hrs Delta Company 43 element engaged 2 VC evading, results 1 VC KIA. The also conduct a Cordon and Search at BS785434 where they detain 1 VCS and engaged one VC who was evading and results is 1 VC KIA. At 1830hrs Delta Company at 1830hrs vicinity of BS725425 received small arms fire from the southeast and east returned fire. Delta Company Night Defense Position is at BS788425 with 95 at BS798420 and 56 at BS798417.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 1240hrs Recon Platoon at BS723433 engaged and killed 6 VC with negative ID or weapons. At 1300hrs Recon Platoon at BS723433 engaged 6 VC results 6 VC KIA 2, dressed in blue shirts and brown pants, 3 dress in Black and 1 in green negative ID or weapon 1 had green a green uniform. At 1615hrs Recon closed on LZ Liz with their SRRP located at BS705421.
