Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Thunder and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 1130hrs Special Forces Camp at BA TO at BS605398 have a patrol pinned down by platoon size element request Gun ships. At 1920hrs Tripoli OP observed 2 people crossing river at BS844383. At 1615hrs Brigade TOC to 1-20 Infantry 1-20 Infantry will establish a platoon Patrol Base vicinity BS825395 and have squads, patrols and ambushes out form it each night. At 2050hrs Fire Direction Center 6-11 Artillery firing mission for MACV received secondary explosions at BS827364.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 0225hrs LZ Bronco called Red Alert, Duc Pho receiving mortar fire and returned Mortar fire results one round hit a bunker on the perimeter with 3 KIA. At 0345hrs LZ Bronco reverted to Green alert. At 0950hrs 1-20 Infantry reports 2 claymore mines from in front of bunker 53 was stolen last night by VC at BS824383.
Alpha Company

At 0742hrs, vicinity of BS482725, Alpha Company observed 2 men in black PJ. When seeing US troops stepped into bunker, fired 1 M-79 round with negative results. At 1041hrs Alpha Company at BS481731, found 2 small tunnels appear to be sleeping quarters which where destroyed. At 1805hrs Alpha continued their Search and Clear operations at BS474474 negative contact and at 1920hrs Alpha Company established their Night Defense Position with 2 ambushes out. Alpha Company reports PFC Thomas J. Green and SP4 Gregory Przyblski where attached to the 67th Evac Hospital.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Thunder. At 1008hrs Bravo Company 3rd Platoon Search and Clear operation is at BS866327 by 1120hrs our location is at BS865334.
Charlie Company
March 9, 1968
Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Dottie. At 1030hrs Charlie Company at BS633854 observed 3 VC evading took under fire with results 1 VC KIA and at 1200hrs the 2nd Platoon is located at BS633851. At 1900hrs Charlie Company at LZ Dottie with ambush at BS613850 and MP also have an ambush at BS625864. At 2135hrs Task Force Barker received intelligence from MACV Son Tinh: K48 Battalion reinforced by local forces Company located at BS714805, BS740807, Weapons Company at BS735758 and Command and Signal elements at BS671801, indicators are for an attack on Quang Ngai on 9-12 March.
Delta Company

At 1020hrs Delta Company continued to use multiple patrolling and search and destroy operations in their Area of Operation with Delta Company 1st Platoon at BS892319, 2nd Platoon at BS888328 and 3rd Platoon with Command Post at BS890303. At 1417hrs Delta Company at BS882319 has 1 US WHA, stepped in Punji pit, injured in calf of leg, Dust Off completed at 1428hrs. At 1440hrs Delta Company at BS882319 found 1 US pineapple hand grenade hooked to a wire across the trail, destroyed in place. At 2110hrs Delta Company Night Defense Position is BS88331 with ambushes at BS814354 and BS843295. SP4 David F Bake sent to 67th Evac Hospital.
Echo Company

Echo Company and 4.2 platoon where located on LZ Thunder to provide direct support to the Battalion. At 1020hrs Recon Platoon at BS888290 with Day Ambushes at BS867286, BS865292 and BS875302.
