Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0140hrs 1-20 Infantry Delta Company Bridge 124 33 element called for illumination spotted VC fired M-60 in area, unknown results. At 0208hrs Division TOC 1st Field Highly Reliable intelligence Infantry indicates possible attacks by fire tonight April 8-9, or in next 24 hours, attacks could include sapper, ambushes and ground assaults. At 1155hrs E Troop 1 Cav at BS857377 engaged 1 VC evading with results 1 KIA negative ID or Weapon. At 2000hrs 1-20 Infantry has been notified to have 1 81mm mortar platoon on LZ Bronco not later than 1600hrs 10 April 10, 1969. At 2000hrs 1-20 Infantry LZ Liz observed 1 VC at BS710439 moving west to east now 9 VC moving engaged with mortar. At 1625hrs Charlie Company 26 Engineer at BS855383 received small arms fire from a bunker and engaged with M-72 Law with results 1 bunker destroyed and 1 VC KIA. At 2400hrs the 39 Engineer at LZ Goldie Received 4 82mm mortars and small arms fire.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company conducts a Combat Assault with 1 Platoon from PZ BS881318 to LZ vicinity BS851369 and completed at 0735hrs. At 0800hrs Alpha Company 51 moved to BS846369 and Alpha Company still at BS769381. At 0948hrs at BS743366 hit a booby trap results is 1 US KHA and 5 WHA (E). At 1030hrs Alpha 51 is located at BS843363, 21 at BS761391 and at 1205hrs Alpha Company at BS839360. Alpha Company Night Defense Position is at BS769381 with 1st Platoon at Bronco, and 21, 30, 31 elements will conduct night roving patrols. At 2015hrs Alpha Company roving patrol checkpoint K at BS769381, L at BS761399, M BS763391 and at 2030hrs 31 checkpoint W at BS762385, Y BS769372 and Z at BS775386. PFC WILLIAM LUTHER OVERSTREET is LISTED AS KHA. Alpha Company reports SP4 Maldonado M. Rios, PFC David Marshall, PFC Rufeno Hernandez, PFC Acosta Ped Perez, and SP4 Louis P. Rios where evac to 312th Evac Hospital at 1000hrs (FRIAR).
Bravo Company

Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Thunder. At 0735hrs Bravo Company –conducts a Combat Assault from LZ Thunder to LZ at BS881318 completed at 0847hrs. At 0900hrs Bravo Company at BS880320 detained 2 VCS CIA evac to Bronco. At 1205hrs Bravo Company at BS881315 and by 1350hrs at BS881318 the PRU element got 1 VC KIA (Male) VC was security chief at Vin Han. At 1410hrs Bravo 31 element are at BS881318. At 1645hrs Bravo Company at BS881318 captured 2 VCS (Male) evading.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Charlie Brown. At 0140hrs Charlie Company reports ARVN Camp received small arms fire about 100 rounds at Sa Huynh, also Charlie Company received about 10 rounds of small arms fire with negative casualties or damage. At 0800hrs Charlie Company 63 is located at BS914243 and Charlie Company conducts a Combat Assault 1st PZ 0745hrs and last LZ at BS914243. At 1445hrs Charlie Company at BS9142422 WHA (E) stepped on mine Dust Off was Complete at 1445hrs. At 2010hrs Charlie Company 21 at Bridge 94 and 22 at Bridge 95, 31 at BS932238. At 2400hrs Charlie Company received 10 to 16 rounds small arms fire from SA Huynh. SP4 Michael Cerminara and SP4 Michael F. Perkins where attached to the 312th Evac Hospital.
Delta Company

Delta Company continued their Security mission for LZ Liz. At 0140hrs Delta 94 at Bridge 124 and 33 call illumination spot VC fired M-60 in area results unknown. At 2010hrs Delta Company elements locations 33 at Bridge 124, the 34 ambush is at BS752436 and the 35 ambush at BS754420 and 21 ambush at BS750455. At 2120hrs Delta Company at BS751456 and 21 is ambush captured 1 VCS (Male).
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters is located on LZ Liz. The 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Charlie Brown, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the LZ Charlie Brown. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for 1-20 Infantry.
