Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Battalion Forward: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and continued their working with the ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 1435hrs Division Transportation Major Elan Message: LCM are schedule to be a 1-20 Infantry Land Clearing Operation site on 10 November 1969and work on 10-11 November 1969 However if weather continues to be bad, be prepared for a weather delay.
Battalion Rear: Battalion Rear continued their Mission for providing general support for the Battalion.
Alpha Company
November 8, 1969
Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for Land Clearing Operation. Alpha Company is at BS813482 and will continue working with joint operations with the ARVN and continued to use multiple patrolling and Day and Night ambushes in their Area of Operation. At 1050hrs man at BS763423 dropped a pipe on his foot and requested a Dust Off and completed at 1100hrs. At 1950hrs Alpha Company reports their Night Defense Position is at BS825455.
Bravo Company
November 8, 1969
Bravo Company at BS783433 and at 1230hrs Bravo Company is at BS782434. Accident on the Red Ball requires MP negative detail at this time will keep us informed. At 1545hrs Bravo Company at BS783433 found Vietnamese female with frag in the leg and shoulder, she hit a mine Dust Off completed at 1510hrs. At 1950hrs Bravo Company reports their Night Defense Position is at BS783433.
Charlie Company
November 8, 1969
Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. Charlie Company conducted a Combat Assault PZ 0700hrs and LZ 0725hrs and at 0730hrs vicinity BS763418, while en route to an ambush site, they heard movement, results one NVA/VC walked into their ambush the NVA/VC CIA will be evac. At 0730hrs Charlie Company at BS763423 chase a VC/NVA in a green uniform into a Bunker they chased him out with smoke grenades.
Delta Company
November 8, 1969
Delta Company moved from their Night Defense Position to their Day Logger at BS778545. Delta Company conducts a Combat Assault 1st PZ 1307hrs and LZ at 1410hrs to BS705451 and set up their Day Logger and conducted saturation patrolling in their Area of Operation. At 1950hrs Delta Company reports their Night Defense Position is at BS705451.
Echo Company
November 8, 1969
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 0643hrs Recon Platoon at vicinity BS780430 blew their claymores, they checked the area and found bloodstains and a poncho liner the PF rounded up 5 Civilian for questioning. At 1000hrs Recon Platoon again is set up at BS783433 and will use it as their Night Defense Position.
