Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located on LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in the Duc Pho Area of Operations. TOC 1-20 Infantry A-19 requested 1 Platoon security where, they were ambushed yesterday. Delta Company will supply 1 Platoon starting this PM. The Engineers are going to clear hedge rows back about 100 meters. At 1445hrs 1-20 Infantry reports Warlords at BS745390 found 1 trench line, 1 hut, 5 spider holes and at BS751369 found 1 US Mail bag unknown contains, 1 trench line with fighting positions. Also bunkers reinforce with concrete and at BS745363 numerous well, worn paths. At 1830hrs OP on LZ Liz observed 3 VC moving to BS735405. At 2055hrs Bridge #402U hear VC speaker saying that VC will be coming into area, coming from Southeast and Southwest.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 1315hrs E Troop due to increased possibility of offence action by the enemy 3 more tracks will be added to LZ Bronco Bunker line defense effective the night of 9 May coordination was made with Base Defense. At 2150hrs LZ Bronco Base Defense spotted 2 VC and at 2317hrs spotted 3-5 VC in both cases fired mortars and artillery with negative assessment.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company conducts one platoon Recon in Force to vicinity BS750446 along with the insert of a SRRP team vicinity BS705420 and will continue with their Security Mission for LZ Liz.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company moved southeast to linkup with tracks for movement to BS7540 for combat operations. At 0910hrs at BS715442 Bravo Company reports discover 4 NVA KBA in 4 graves KBA by Artillery less then 24 hours where wearing green uniforms.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company conducts Recon in Force to BS750446 with one platoon Recon in Force at BS769388 and BS765379. At 1130hrs Charlie Company was putting in a SRRP at BS772395 trip a mine and the results of 3 WIA and SRRP was extracted. SP4 MAHLON HUGH WATKINS IS LISED AS KHA.

Delta Company

Delta Company will conduct Condon and Search vicinity BS798421 and BS799428 and at BS786437. Delta Company continued their joint operation with the PRU and their security of Hamlet vicinity BS785428 with one ambush at BS785432. At 1145hrs Delta Company send 1 Platoon to assist Alpha Company 19 Engineer as they cut back the hedgerows at less 100 meters where they where ambushed yesterday.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon makes a air move from Chu Lai to LZ Bronco completed at 1000hrs and the conducts a Combat Assault to a cold LZ at BS725338 completed at 1410hrs. At Recon Platoon reports their location at BS717436.
