At 1030hrs LRRP Idaho at BS697465 engaged 2 VC evading 1 WIA found rice cache and began returning to Command Post and engaged and KIA 1 VC with AK47 call for extraction. At 2200hrs Charlie Company reports Village Chief at BS925252 says H & I last night killed 2 VC negative (credit).

Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.

Alpha Company
April 8, 1969

At 0005hrs Alpha Company roving patrols 27 element is at BS763389 and BS769388. At 0100hrs Alpha Company 95 element is passed checkpoint C & F. At 0355hrs Alpha Company reports 67 and 65 element has closed on their ambush location. At 0800hrs Alpha Company reports their location at BS769381. At 1755hrs with used the same Night Defense Position at BS769381 with 93 elements snake location at BS885310.

Bravo Company
April 8, 1969

Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Thunder. At 2140hrs Bravo Company at LZ Thunder received 4 rounds of small arms fire, shot Illumination.

Charlie Company
April 8, 1969

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Charlie Brown. At 1200hrs Charlie Company 51 is located at BS920260. At 2200hrs Charlie Company is at BS925252, Village chief says H&I last night killed 2 VC with negative credit.

Delta Company
April 8, 1969

Delta Company continued their Security mission for LZ Liz. At 1755hrs Delta Company 94 at Bridge 124, 96 at BS752436 and 95 at BS754420. At 1830hrs Delta Company reports location at BS770420.

Echo Company
April 8, 1969

Echo Company headquarters is located on LZ Liz. The 4.2 Platoon is located at LZ Charlie Brown and providing direct fire support for LZ Charlie Brown. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 0800hrs Recon Platoon reports their location at BS842365. At 1355hrs Little John was extracted and ARKA SRRP at 1335hrs was inserted at BS772395 and Recon Platoon moving to LZ Liz and closed by 1600hrs.
