Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Cork and will continued to work with ARVN units their Area of Operations in OPERATION VERNON LAKE II. Quang Ngai request for immediate Gun Ships requester is the Special Forces personnel for about heavy contact for about 15 minutes at BS520380 location northwest of BA TO compound being attacked call sign Dunmore Critis. Gun Ships on Station now and flare Ships and no contact in area.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company
December 7, 1968
Alpha Company will continue their Security Mission for LZ Cork. Fire Support Base received 3 rounds of (82mm mortar) fire with negative casualties. Counter mortar fired on suspected enemy location at BS463618.
Bravo Company

Activities during the day were Very light, Bravo Company will continue to use Search and Destroy operations in their Area of Operation. Bravo Company reports in Night Defense Position with Charlie Company at BS324511.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company will continue to Conduct Combat Sweep and Clear Operations in their Area of Operation. Charlie Company reports in their Night Defense Position with Bravo Company at BS324511.
Delta Company

At 1445hrs Delta Company engaged a trail watcher resulting in 1 VC KIA at BS357569, further along the same trail they found a hut with documents and assorted equipment.
Echo Company
December 7, 1968
Echo Company is located at LZ Volunteer where Battalion Forward is and coordinates with the Battalion Rear Elements and Base Defense elements on LZ Cork. The 4.2 Platoon is located on LZ Volunteer where they continue to provide direct fire support for the (1-20 Infantry Battalion). The Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for the (1-20 Infantry TOC) on LZ Volunteer.
