Battalion Forward: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and continued their working with the ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0940hrs Charlie Company 39 Engineer at BS698651 request Dust Off for 2 ARVNS injured in a road accident. A 5 Ton truck hit a Lambretta. At 1220hrs 57-2 Convoy ambush at BS722555, one ammo truck on fire. They are receiving heavy automatic fire from the north, gun ships on station negative casualties. At 1547hrs Bravo 39th Engineers at BS802454, a Bulldozer hit unknown type of mine, possible 155 results one US WIA evac wounds of the legs, Dust Off complete at 1545hrs, the dossier was damaged. At 2005hrs 1-20 Infantry Two lifts for hooks only got 1 two a day for Land Clearing Support POL problem for tomorrow because of it and Utility to Chu Lai for parts tomorrow. At 2030hrs MACV Duc Pho Little people have movement at BS7745, called MACV back and gave 1-20 Location in that area, closest to grid BS771461, BS773458, BS770448 informed them that 1-20 Infantry was operating in the entire area around that location.
Battalion Rear: Battalion Rear continued their Mission for providing general support for the Battalion. At 0735hrs H Troop 17 Cav at BS529860 reports A Cav detonated 155mm bomb, the bomb was detonated by a pressure release 155mm round with results 6 VIA WIA (E) and 1 US (M) with A Cav a combat loss.
Alpha Company
November 6, 1969
Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for the Land Clearing Operation. Alpha Company is located at BS813482 and working with joint operations with the ARVN and will continue to use multiple patrolling and Day and Night ambushes in their Area of Operation. At 1530hrs Alpha at grid BS814455 detained 1 female VCS 40-45, found some documents in her possession interpreter says she is VC and evac to LZ Bronco.
Bravo Company
November 6, 1969
Bravo Company conducts a Combat Assault PZ 0815hrs and LZ 0900hrs. At 1100hrs Bravo Company requested a Dust Off for a RF who stepped on a M-26 booby trap and bleeding badly, Dust Off completed at 1052hrs. At 1850hrs Bravo Company PF and RF had 20 ambushes out tonight. At 2045 Bravo Company reports request Dust Off for 216 PF has 1 man suffering from Malaria and Command and Control Helicopter made Dust Off at 1845hrs.
Charlie Company

At 1400hrs Charlie Company closed on LZ Liz and taken over the Security Mission for LZ Liz with 93 at North OP and 77 at South OP.
Delta Company

Delta Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. At 1400hrs Delta Company location are in the vicinity of BS790448 and at 1830hrs move to 91 at BS787438, 01 at BS800426 and 51 at BS775429.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 0800hrs Recon Platoon reports their location at BS783433. At 1400hrs Recon Platoon reports location at BS790449 and at 1600hrs Recon Platoon is still located at BS790449. At 1815hrs 1-20 Infantry night locations Alpha Company BS825455, Bravo Company Command Post, 51, 31, 56, 217PF and Recon at BS783433, 96, 172RF at BS771461, 01, 147 PF at BS789417, 05, 169PF at BS787446, 95, 215PF at BS778445, 94, 93, 216PF at BS776446. Charlie Company LZ Liz with 93 at North OP, and Delta Company Command Post, 91 at BS787438, 01 at BS800426, 51 at BS775429. Recon Platoon is with Bravo Company. At 2045hrs Recon Platoon at BS789444 found 500-600 pounds of rice in plastic and cloth bags it was found in bins in a hootch or hootches, will be extracted by Command and Control Helicopter to (1-20 Infantry) Location.
