Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0610hrs TMF String 62A has 2 to 3 personnel moving northeast to southwest, negative metal confirmed, fire 1 round WP Artillery105 and received a check fire. At 1235hrs PF143 MACV Mo Duc vicinity BS753573 requests a priority Dust Off for 1 Vietnamese PF with gun shot wounds to upper arm, was completed at 1300hrs. Legend: 1st Platoon 53, 2nd Platoon 98, 3rd Platoon 26, 4th Platoon 22, CO-66.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company
March 6, 1971
At 1100hrs Alpha Company, 1st Platoon vicinity BS653514, while pursuing a blood trail from last night contact, sighted and engaged 5-7 NVA with packs and weapons. The NVA were moving southwest. Blocking fires were employed (4.2 and 155mm) were called 1st Platoon and sweeping area finding 1 NVA canteen, surgical dressings and 1 NVA ammo pouches, pursuing further they found 1 booby trap hand grenade M-26 with pressure release, which they blew in place. At 1815hrs Alpha Company reports all patrols have closed. At 1933hrs Alpha Company Command Post, 3rd and 4th Platoon BS701521, 3rd Platoon ambush BS699521, 1st and 2nd Platoon BS674513, 2nd Platoon ambush BS677517.
Bravo Company
March 6, 1971
Bravo Company continued to set up Patrol Bases and use multiple patrolling in their Area of Operation. At 1816hrs Bravo Company all patrols have closed. At 2005hrs Bravo Company Command Post, 3rd and 4the Platoon at BS724447, 1st and 3rd Platoon BS742425, 3rd Platoon with ambush BS741420. At 2020hrs Bravo Company addition plans the 3rd Platoon M Rat Patrol vicinity BS749446.
Charlie Company
March 6, 1971
At 1015hrs Charlie Company moved off of LZ Liz. At 2040hrs 2nd Platoon at OP Wood stock heard loudspeaker broad casting from BS689573 they are engaging with small arms and PF are firing 60mm and requesting Artillery. At 2125hrs Charlie Company at OP Pax sighted lights 300 meters to the south and west of OP Pax. They engaged with small arms fire and 60mm mortars then they observed personnel evading west and they engaged them with Artillery at this time.
Delta Company

At 1035hrs Delta Company at 1035hrs 1st Platoon patrol is at checkpoint 2 vicinity BS704528. At 1745hrs Delta Company has all elements have close on LZ Liz and took over Security Mission for LZ Liz.
Echo Company
March 6, 1971
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for 1-20 Infantry. At 0650hrs Recon is moving to their Patrol Base vicinity BS775387 and closed on their location at 0715hrs. At 1005hrs Recon vicinity BS775393 detained 1 Vietnamese age 30-35 male wearing maroon and black. Had old frag wounds on the back and seemed to be following them. Will be back hauled to LZ Liz and then to Duc Pho. At 1953hrs Recon is in their location BS779395.
