Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations.

Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.

Alpha Company
March 6, 1969

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Charlie Brown and security for bridges with local Ambushes, today 1 Platoon conducts Recon in Force to vicinity BS9121. At 1600hrs Alpha Company at BS920211 evac 2 VCS detained for questioning to LZ Liz, 2 females carrying food and cigarettes up to the hills with negative ID.

Bravo Company
March 6, 1969

Bravo Company secured LZ Liz last night day with 1 Platoon conducts a Recon in Force vicinity BS7644. At 1750hrs Bravo Company at BS748399 observed 3 NVA with weapons, and called Artillery with negative assessment (NVA where dressed in green uniforms). At 1815hrs Bravo Company observed 2 NVA with Artillery at BS742401 and called mortar and Artillery with negative assessment. At 1850hrs Bravo Company observed 5 NVA with weapons wearing green uniforms and helmets with negative assessment. At 1910hs Bravo Company at BS742401 observed 5 NVA wearing green uniforms with weapons and packs that ran into a hut, Called Artillery and leveled hut and will check the area in the area in morning. Along with 2 VC wearing black PJ with weapons where seen in the same area, Artillery called again with negative assessment.

Charlie Company
March 6, 1969

Charlie Company continued the Security of LZ Thunder with local ambushes and today with 1 Platoon conducts a Recon in Force vicinity BS8831.

Delta Company
March 6, 1969

Delta Company returned to control of the 1-20 Infantry with the completion of air move from LZ Dragon to LZ Bronco at 0955hrs. Delta Company will establish multiple ambushes west of Duc Pho.

Echo Company
March 6, 1969

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for LZ Liz Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for 1-20 Infantry.
