Headquarters and Headquarter Company
June 6, 1968
Forward Area 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Ross for Operation WHEELER-WALLOWA and are OPCON to the 196th Light Infantry Brigade. At 0830hrs 1-20 Infantry reports that Delta 30 is at checkpoint I and at 1055hrs 1-20 Infantry reports that Highway 535 is open. At 1242hrs Convoy from Chu Lai has arrived at LZ Baldy. Convoy departed for LZ Ross at 1404hrs and arrives at LZ Ross. At 1637hrs Convoy is departing LZ Ross and closed on LZ Baldy at 1730hrs.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 0900hrs Bravo Company 19th Engineer reports Lanbratta hit a mine at BS783434, result 11Vietnamese wounded, 4 dead.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company conducted Search and Clear operation in their Area of Operation vicinity AT9629 and moved to AT988325 to AT969304.
Bravo Company
June 6, 1968
Bravo Company will continued their Security Mission for LZ Ryder and will maintain 1 Platoon on OP vicinity BS960360.
Charlie Company
June 6, 1968
Charlie Company moved out to their east toward BT0429 and continued their Search and Clear operation to BT045447. At 0830hrs Charlie Company at BT028312 reports Command and Control Helicopter 1-20 Infantry going in to resupply Charlie received 6 to 8 rounds from southeast, negative hits continued mission. Charlie Company reports their Night Defense Position at BT048299.
Delta Company

Delta Company has the Security Mission for LZ Ross and work with the Engineer on Road sweeps of Highway 535. At 1825hrs a US truck hit a mine on highway 535 with results 1 US WIA and evac.
Echo Company
June 6, 1968
Echo Company is located at LZ Ross where Battalion Forward, is located and coordinates with the Battalion Rear Elements and the Base Defense on LZ Ross. The 4.2 Platoon is located on LZ Ross where they continue to provide direct fire support for the Battalion. 1-20 Infantry Recon Platoon reports have manned and maintain OP at Dragon BT000315, Tiger BT000370 and Cobra BT045380.
At 0950hrs Recon at BT002371 reports 2 men walked up to the south side of Tiger Base from northwest and said they wanted to Chieu Hoi. SGT Lee R. Woods was sick 1030hrs and evac to 95th Evac Hospital.
