Headquarters and Headquarter Company
August 6, 1969
Battalion Forward: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and continued their working with the ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0745hrs LZ Liz order two 12V battery from Bud Pad order was roger. At 0950hrs LZ Liz request Routine Dust Off for 3 female Vietnamese multiple wounds to legs etc. Hit by friendly Artillery morning of the 6th completed at 0907hrs. At 1150hrs Helix 34 has Air Strike will be going into BS723457 and at 1225hrs Helix 34 has Air Strike going into grid BS844386. At 1300hrs Brigade S-5 request permission to use Bravo Company 1-20 Infantry internal push until around 1500hrs push 37.00 request was granted by 1-20 Infantry Signal Officer.
Battalion Rear: Battalion Rear continued their Mission for providing general support for the Battalion.
Alpha Company
August 6, 1969
Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. At 0135hrs Alpha Company Bunker 21 thought they spotted movement to the front of them, engaged with small arms, thought they saw 2 bodies, sending out Reactionary force to check out area with negative finding.
Bravo Company
August 6, 1969
Bravo Company was switch locations with Charlie Company by air to Chu Lai, 1st pick up 0810hrs, 2nd pick up 0825hrs- 3rd pick up 0950hrs, 4th Pick up 1200hrs and Charlie Company returns from Stand Down.
Charlie Company

At 1135hrs Charlie Company back at 1125hrs at LZ Bronco. At 1705hrs we have left the perimeter at this time. At 2015hrs Charlie Company are in out Night Defense Position at BS829417.
Delta Company
August 6, 1969
Delta Company moving out at 0510hrs had cipher problem fixed. Delta Company the 21 element, Picked up 1 male VC suspect at BS753449 has an ID card that says he is 39 years of age .he looks military age and the 21 element has closed on BS760447. Delta Company 21, night ambush element opened fire on 3 VC/NVA, while en route to their night ambush position with negative results at this time swept thru area. Delta Company reports their Night Defense Position vicinity BS753455 at 2327hrs.
Echo Company
August 6, 1969
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. At 0700hrs 4.2 Platoon reports Defensive Targets 11 with total expend 13 HE, 4 WP and 5 Illumination. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 0725hrs Recon Platoon reports we have closed on LZ Liz at this time.
