Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0745hrs Bravo TOC called 1-20 Infantry and they had Charlie Brown call Navy and check on beach boat was informed boat had be reported on way to Charlie Brown. At 0825hrs the Command and Control Helicopter at BS765525 evac 6 females for questioning to Alpha Company 4-21 Infantry at BS795527. At 0900hrs 39 Engineer at BS921582 find mine with bamboo plunger type electrical firing device, 15-20 pounds of TNT destroyed in place. At 1130hrs 1-20 Infantry request a dossier at Charlie Brown ASAP to build bunkers for the 4.2 Mortar Platoon, will call and coordinate with 1-20 Infantry directly.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the Battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

At 1415hrs Alpha Company is located at BS769373. At 1817hrs Alpha Company is in their Night Defense Position at BS765379 with 65 roving at 2100hrs to 0100hrs also 46 roving at 0300hrs to 0800hrs. At 1817hrs Alpha also reported they located a 500 pound bomb in Night Defense Position and will destroy it in the morning.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Thunder. At 0910hrs Bravo Company at BS902309 spotted 30 NVA/VC running calling in 81mm and checking out area. At 1045hrs Bravo Company at BS899305 detained 2 VC male found in hole, 40 and 14 will evac to Bronco. At 1900hrs Bravo Company 93 is at BS879334.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Charlie Brown. At 1255hrs Charlie Company at BS915258 evac 1 Detainee for questioning to LZ Liz. Detainee had no ID, claims he is 15 years old and a Buddhist, also negative weapon.
Delta Company

Delta Company continued their Security mission for LZ Liz. At 1005hrs Delta Company reports their location at BS848382. At 1215hrs Delta Company is on LZ Liz. At 1813hrs Delta Company 94 element is at bridge 124, 96 at BS752436 and 95 at BS754420. At 1005hrs Delta Company is at BS848382. At 1215hrs Delta Company at LZ Liz. At 2115hrs VC playing Anti-American records at BS775420, firing 81mm results unknown broadcast for 45 minutes, subject US aggression and mention 27-28 Dec.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 1155hrs Recon Platoon has closed on LZ Bronco for Base Defense.
