Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 1820hrs Quang Ngai reports a Hoi Chanh rallied to 2 ARVN Division, the Hoi Chanh is a member of the 22 NVA Regiment. He states the Regiment is located 1.5 KM north of Song Ve River along North South grid line 63 to 69 was pass to 11 Brigade and the 1-20 Infantry.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. On Access Road to LZ Liz at 1600hrs Bravo and Headquarters Company reports vicinity BS764427 truck was detonated by command detonated mine, Results 2 US KHA both Officers (LT), 1 WIA (E) Dust Off completed at 1605hrs, Gun Ships on station engaged 1 VC evading from same grid where mine was detonated results 1 VC KIA, negative weapons of ID. From Bravo Company LT EDWARD ROBERT HICKEY and 1LT PHILLIP EDWARD TAYLOR (LISTED AS KIA) and Headquarters and Headquarter Company reports SP4 Raymond A. Sanchez evac to 312 Evac Hospital at 1830hrs with multiple frag wounds to right hand and face. At 1200hrs SP4 Elmer W. Adcock was evac to the 312th Evac Hospital at 1200hrs sick.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Charlie Brown and security for bridges with local ambushes and last night and today.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company will have the Security Mission for LZ Liz with saturation patrolling in the area around LZ Liz. At 1600hrs Bravo and Headquarters Company reports vicinity BS764427 truck was detonated by command detonated mine, Results 2 US KHA both Officers (LT), 1 WIA (E) Dust Off completed at 1605hrs, Gun Ships on station engaged 1 VC evading from same grid where mine was detonated results 1 VC KIA, negative weapons of ID. Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued the Security of LZ Thunder with local ambushes, and today with 1 Platoon conducts a Recon in Force vicinity BS8732. At 1245hrs Charlie Company at BS887325 detained 3 men who will be evac to LZ Liz.
Delta Company
March 5, 1969
Delta Company is still OPCON to the 3-1 Infantry today and will continue to secure LZ Dragon and saturation patrols around LZ.
Echo Company
March 5, 1969
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Dragon, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Delta Company. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense LZ Dragon. Recon Platoon is on LZ Liz with Security Mission for the 1-20 Infantry.
