Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Cork and will continued to work with ARVN units their Area of Operations in OPERATION VERNON LAKE II. At 1705hrs 1-20 Infantry TOC at BS348544 reports 1 Chu Hoi turned himself in to LZ Volunteer. At 2005hrs indicated he was forced laborer for VC was not a soldier will be evac to Duc Pho for questioning.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 0945hrs Charlie Company 39 Engineer at BS705610 found booby trap consisting 1 pound TNT was put in truck at trash dump, cap detonated but charge did not.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company will continue their Security Mission for LZ Cork.
Bravo Company
December 5, 1968
Bravo Company continued to use Search and Clear Operations in their Area of Operation. At 1200hrs Bravo Company at BS3395 detain 4 VCS, evading them to HA THANH and they were Mountain yards PFC Robert Roddy was evac to the 312th Evac Hospital sick at 1550hrs.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company will continue to conduct Combat and Sweep and Clear operations in their Area of Operation. Charlie Company found a rice cache at 1700hrs and it was destroyed.
Delta Company

Delta Company will use Patrolling and Day ambushes as the continued Search and Clear operation in their Area of Operation.
Echo Company
December 5, 1968
Echo Company is located at LZ Volunteer where Battalion Forward is and coordinates with the Battalion Rear Elements and Base Defense elements on LZ Cork. The 4.2 Platoon is located on LZ Cork where they continue to provide direct fire support for the (1-20 Infantry Battalion). The Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for the (1-20 Infantry TOC).
