Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0830hrs E Troop 1st Calvary reports at BS788519 hit mine with 1 US WIA and Dust OFF. At 0930hrs USAF reports last B52 strike completed 050930hrs. At 1130hrs LRRP Nevada team is walking in, have clear the Mountains area still cannot be flown out told to stay in hiding until we can get them out. At 1905hrs LRRP Nevada has been extracted.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company
April 5, 1969
At 1840hrs Alpha Company remained in their Night Defense Position at BS774377 and has a roving patrols leaving at 2000hrs. At 2045hrs 93element is at Checkpoint BS775386 and at 2207hrs moved into BS784376. At 1840hrs Alpha Company reports their Night Defense Position at BS774377 with 2 roving patrols leaving at 2000hrs. At 2045hrs the 93 element reports their location checkpoint at BS775386. At 2207hrs E Troop will OPCON Alpha Company 1st light at BS784376 to conduct a Sweep and Clear operation.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Thunder. At 1840hrs Bravo Company 43 element is located at BS893306.
Charlie Company
April 5, 1969
Charlie Company has the Security Mission for LZ Charlie Brown with 43 the element at Bridge 94 and the 44 element at Bridge 95.
Delta Company
April 5, 1969
Delta Company continued their Security mission for LZ Liz with 94 at bridge 124. At 1000hrs Delta Company reports element at BS774417. At 1300hrs Delta Company element has closed on LZ Liz. At 1840hrs Delta Company reports their night locations 94 at Bridge 124, 96 at BS752436, and 95 at BS754420.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco and is located at BS822383.
