Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Battalion Forward: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and continued their working with the ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0800hrs Alpha Company 3-1 Infantry reports their location at BS740398 and continued to work their Area of Operation at 1400hrs. At 1800hrs Alpha Company 3-1 Infantry reports their position at BS748388. At 2145hrs LZ Liz Base OP east side perimeter spotted movement to front engaged with M-16 and M-79 fire with unknown results and OP on west side of perimeter received 1 round of sniper fire.
Battalion Rear: Battalion Rear continued their Mission for providing general support for the Battalion.
Alpha Company
November 4, 1969
Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for the Land Clearing Operation. Alpha Company at BS813482 working with joint operations with the ARVN and continued to use multiple patrolling and Day and Night ambushes in their Area of Operation. At 1440hrs Alpha Company at BS825455 detainee three VCS two females says they were members of (Area Members of the Women’s Association). They were dressed in Black shorts. One had a blue shirt the other a Black Shirt. The one man 26 years old was wearing purple pants and Black Shirts. He was a member Association since 1968, will evac to LZ Bronco.
Bravo Company
November 4, 1969
At 0127hrs Bravo Company received one RPG round from the northwest and engaged with Mortar fire and the north side received 7 rounds of M 79 and small arms fire. Results had one RF WIA (M) from M-79. The individual did not require a Dust Off. At 0800hrs location of Day Logger BS783433, at 1130hrs at BS772443 Bravo detained one man VCS had no ID dressed in black P.J. The PF say the VCS is a VC and will evac to LZ Bronco. At BS783433 Bravo Company Command Post, 51, 31, Recon Night Defense Position with 56, 217 PF, 96, 172 PF at BS771461 & 01 BS789417, 05 &169PF at BS787424, 92 & 315PF at BS778445 and 94, 93 & 216 PF at BS776446. At 1904hrs Bravo 01 Night Defense Position South Bridge received small arms fire from BS795415 negative casualties or damage returned fire with small arms fire unknown results. At 2145hrs Bravo Company OP East side perimeter spotted movement to front engaged with M-16 and M-79 unknown results OP on West side of perimeter received 1 round of sniper fire.
Charlie Company

At 0800hrs Charlie Company it location is at BS727441. At 1645hrs Charlie Company at BS743428 found a tunnel 30 meters long, will blow the tunnel with shape charges. At 2030hrs Charlie Company is at their Night Defense Position at BS727441, with 91 at LZ Liz with 01 at BS725446.
Delta Company

Delta Company will continue their Security Mission for LZ Liz.
Echo Company
November 4, 1969
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 1000hrs Recon reports their location at BS487716. At 1200hrs Recon reports their location at BS783433 and at 1400hrs Recon Platoon is at BS867363. At 1800hrs Recon Platoon reports their location at BS783433 with PF 56 & 217.
