Battalion Forward: 1-20 Infantry Battalion Headquarters is located at LZ Liz as they continued their Mission working with the ARVVN units in their Duc Pho Area of Operations. At 0638hrs UPDATE June 3, 1969 at 1710hrs Delta Company 4-3 Infantry at BS753402 engaged 7 NVA with results 7 NVA KIA, 1 M-16 CIA and Charlie Company at 1800hrs at BS752404 engaged 6 NVA with results 6 NVA KIA and 1 57 recoilless rife CIA. At 0830hrs 1-20 Infantry requested 4 Bull Dossiers from Engineers to the level village at BS802428. At 2033hrs Bravo Company on LZ Liz spotted 3-4 VC outside wire engaging with small arms fire at BS758428 with unknown results.
Battalion Rear: Battalion Rear continued to carry out their Mission of general support for the Battalion.
Alpha Company
June 4, 1969
Alpha Company returned from Chu Lai to LZ Bronco completed at 1015hrs. At 1805hrs Alpha Company is at BS787377 and at 1920hrs spotted 4 VC at BS775882 pinned down and called in Artillery and will check in morning.
Bravo Company
June 4, 1969
Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. At 2033hrs Bravo Company spotted 3 and 4 VC outside wire engaging with small arms fire vicinity BS758428 with unknown results.
Charlie Company
June 4, 1969
Charlie Company is back at LZ Bronco at 1015hrs and at 1820hrs Charlie Company is at BS827424 and at 1950hrs moving into their Night Defense Position at BS832415.
Delta Company
June 4, 1969
At 1310hrs Delta Company at BS734414 have recovered all KHA different items of US Equipment, rucksacks frames ammo and some documents believe this area was a base camp for 15 NVA negative weapons US Loss 1 Star light Scope and 1 M-60 (Machinegun). At 1950hrs Delta Company is in their Night Defense Position at BS744413, 42 at BS741412 and 12 at BS744410 will continue their sweep and clear operation in the morning.
Echo Company
June 4, 1969
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon has moved to Chu Lai for Stand Down.
