Forward Area 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Ross for Operation WHEELER-WALLOWA and are OPCON to the 196th Light Infantry Brigade.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company conducted Search and Clear operation in their Area of Operation vicinity AT9531 to AT9632 and at 1500hrs Alpha Company at AT967305 detained 1 18 year old male, as he was running from hootch and jumped in a hole, had a pistol belt and canteen (US), 1 M-16 cleaning kit and checking area now for weapon. Alpha Company moved to AT954317 to AT964322. Alpha Company Reports that SGT David R. Gay with gunshot wound NSA Hospital at Da Nang at 1700hrs.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company will continue their Security Mission for LZ Ryder and will maintain 1 Platoon OP in vicinity AT960360. SGT WAYNE SHELTON PROCTOR LISTED as KHA HOSTILE, DIED OF WOUNDS (frag wounds USAF Hospital Tachicawa Japan SEE MAY 14, 1968).
Charlie Company

Charlie Company moved out to their east toward AT9929 and continued their Search and Destroy operation to AT982308 to AT998306. At 1417hrs Charlie Company at AT982293 received sniper fire from 800 meters southwest with results 1 US WIA (E)
Delta Company

Delta Company has the Security Mission for LZ Ross and the Highway 535.
Echo Company
June 4, 1968
Echo Company is located at LZ Ross where Battalion Forward, is located and coordinates with the Battalion Rear Elements and the Base Defense on LZ Ross. The 4.2 Platoon is located on LZ Ross where they continue to provide direct fire support for the Battalion. 1-20 Infantry Recon Platoon manned OP Tiger, Cobra and Dragon. At 1648hrs OP for 1-20 Infantry at BT096243 at BT096243 observed 2 VC 250 meters southwest of their location, engaged with small arms fire checked area and found 1 VC KIA, Web gear CIA and also 1 US Carbine and the OP was extracted.
