Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 032100hrs VC using blow horn told Ville West of OP #1 to move out by 040200hrs, VC wer4e going to kill ARVN at OP #1 and in Ville Mortars will be fired. 11 Brigade was informed and passed information all units and Night Hawks to be in Box #63 at 0245hrs. Night Hawks checked are with negative results. OP #3 observed 10 VC in the open with weapons; clearance was received from 4 ARVN Regiment to 1-20 Infantry to engaged target, Target was engaged by Artillery at 1525hrs by Charlie Battery 6-11 Artillery, with 40 rounds of 105mm rounds. Received check fire at 1545hrs by ARVN who stated they had personnel in the area. Results 5 ARVN KNB with 10 ARVN WIA (E) Dust Off completed by VNAF to Quang Ngui completed at 1600hrs and Notify Commanding General Gorwitz. At 0759hrs 1-20 Infantry LZ Liz Access road has been mine swept. At 2355hrs Warlord Black is on station at 2355hrs for Box 67, at 0012hrs broke station out of 67 with negative findings and at 0019hrs enter Box 64 and at 0045 broke Station with negative findings. Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for Chu Lai.

Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz and Access Road Security.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued to use Patrol Bases and multiple patrolling in their Area of Operations. At 0802hrs Charlie Company Command Post and 1st Platoon in their Patrol base vicinity BS678529. At 2007hrs Charlie Company 1st Platoon and Command Post in their Night Defense Position at BS683523.
Delta Company

Delta Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. Delta Company all access road snakes are in location.
Echo Company
July 4, 1971
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Stand Down in Chu Lai.
