Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0003hrs Sabre Black is on station and at 0050hrs Saber Black is breaking station with negative findings. At 0201hrs 1-20 Infantry Practice Alert and Alert is completed at 0207hrs. At 0835hrs Warlord 20 is on station. At 0907hrs Warlord 24 vicinity BS704553, inserted animals to check out 4 VC suspects spotted by the Battalion Commander and Primo 6, checked the area with negative findings, checked people were classified as innocent civilians, blues were extracted at 0907hrs. At 0945hrs Warlord 24 has broken station. At 0950hrs LZ Dragon S-4 received 1 60mm round and 1 ¼ pound block of TNT, will destroy in place. Paid 3 cans of C-Rations for it the ordnance was brought to them by Vietnamese children. At 1008hrs Warlord 24 is back on station. At 1100hrs LZ Liz, request a routine Dust Off for Vietnamese female 12, years old, with a fractured ankle and completed at 1218hrs taken to Quang Ngai. At 1425hrs Primo 6 is on station for Command and Control Helicopter. At 1530hrs Warlord 24 is leaving Box 50 A. at 1535hrs Primo 6 is now breaking station. Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Bravo Company
February 4. 1970
At 0910hrs Bravo Company 1st Platoon on patrol vicinity BS742437, saw 1 male 17, wearing white top and purple bottoms carrying 2 packs. Fired him up and he has shrapnel in his legs from an M-79 round, will not require Dust Off and will be back haul to LZ Liz and taken to Duc Pho. At 1000hrs Bravo Company signed 2 males, 1 female, the males where carrying packs and evaded, one male was slightly wounded by M-79 fire, and female will be brought to LZ Liz later due to lack of room on Chopper that back hauled the WIA VC to LZ Liz. At 1850hrs Bravo Company Command Post with 1st and 4th Platoon at BS734432, 1st Platoon BS734433, BS733432, 2nd Platoon LIZ with 3rd Platoon at BS734442, BS735443 and BS735440. At 1945hrs Bravo Company Command Post and 1st Platoon at BS734432, 1st Platoon ambush BS734433, BS733432 and 3rd Platoon at BS734442, BS735440, BS735443, with the 2nd and 4 Platoon at BS755574.
Charlie Company

At 0755hrs Charlie Company 3rd Platoon vicinity BS738596, while sweeping the contact area, found 1 VC KIA wearing green top and green bottoms with rain jacket. He did have an ID Card. In addition they found 3 home made rucksacks, 1 Chi Com flag (hammer & cycle) 3’ x 4’, 1 AK magazine, 1 M-16 rifle, 1 45 cal pistol. They also found a Large Red and White Propaganda Banner, and 1 38 cal Pistol and the serial # 45 pistol 2646239, M-16 1306929, 38 pistol 772662. At 0835hrs Charlie Company 3rd Platoon vicinity BS737598, found a booby trap and it was a 10 pound can of Petna with trip wire, set up on a trail with smoke grenade firing device and was destroyed in place. At 0845hrs Charlie Company the 3rd Platoon had one man detonate a can of Petna booby trap with trip wire, received only minor wounds, and no Dust Off is required LT Hodges. At 0930hrs Charlie Company vicinity BS736598 report 2 booby traps found last night. They were along the same trail about 20 to 30 meters apart. 1 was 105mm round with electrical blasting cap and claymore firing device other a can of Petna with pressure release device destroyed both of them. The booby traps were clearly marked with pots and pans on top of them along with sticks and rocks. At 0935hrs Charlie Company 2nd Platoon received 2 to 3 rounds of sniper fire from 400 meters to northwest of OP Wood stock, engaged with artillery from Snoopy. At 1153hrs Charlie Company 1st Platoon at BS703547 found 1 VC bush hat (Kit Carson Scout says it is VC) recently worn, also various footprints with rice all over the ground. At 1240hrs Charlie Company Command Post and 3rd Platoon sighted 4 VC with packs moving south at a distance of 200 meters engaged the enemy with small arms fire and the VC evaded to the south. Charlie Company swept the area found 1 VC KIA wearing all black cloths, was approximately 22 no ID. Also found a pack contained 1 US flashlight, 2 pounds of rice, also found some blood trails, lost in the wet rice paddies then they closed on OP Frag.
Delta Company

Delta Company is location on LZ Liz and has taken over the Security Mission for LZ Liz and Road Security.
Echo Company
February 4, 1970
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for 1-20 Infantry. At 1715hrs Recon Platoon has closed on LZ Dragon.
