Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0930hrs 1-20 infantry Command and Control Helicopter at BS716580 received 5-8 rounds automatic weapon fires and took 1 hit in bottom. At 0945hrs notify following personnel that rehearsal for awards ceremony will be held at 1345hrs 4 February 1969, 1-20 Infantry SP4 Treece with 3-1 Infantry LT Long, and 4-3 Infantry LT Klien.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company
February 4, 1969
Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Dragon. At 0900hrs Alpha Company at BS875345, found a VC Gas Mask and a VC radio set at 9.8 found in a hut under a fireplace. Alpha Company location at 1100hrs 1st Platoon is at BS875344, Command Post, 2nd and 3rd Platoon is at BS880335. At 1350hrs Alpha Company at BS878362 located at 1100hrs at 155 dud will blow it in place. At 1045hrs Alpha Company at BS868341, found numerous Punji pits 5" deep with 3’ stakes. At 2015hrs Alpha Company reports 1 VC with weapon fired at grid 872348 and evaded heading toward a friendly ambush informed ambush. At 2145hrs the 1-20 Infantry reports their SRRP locations Johnny BS872274 and Reciper BS912173.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company has taken the Security Mission for LZ Liz with 41 the element on Bridge 124 and at 1825hrs 21 is at BS744439, 22 at BS758422. At 1245hrs 1-20 Infantry reports SRRP locations Johnny is at BS872274 and Reciper at BS912173.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Thunder with the 96 element on bridge 111 at BS835322 and 24 element is at BS803365. At 1245hrs the 1-20 Infantry reports SRRP locations Johnny BS872274 and Reciper BS912173.
Delta Company

Delta Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Charlie Brown. At 0850hrs Delta Company reports unit locations are 44 on Bridge 95 and 43 on bridge 94 with 21 at BS920280. At 1300hrs Delta Company at BS913267 detained 9 VC suspects for questioning sent to Military Intelligence at LZ Bronco. At 1710hrs 1-20 Infantry reports SRRP locations A SRRP at BS712504, moving Johnny at BS875294 and D at BS913172.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 0850hrs Recon Platoon reports their location at BS688505. At 1155hrs Recon Platoon reports their new location at BS695508. At 1625hrs Recon Platoon reports their location at BS705527. At 1820hrs Recon Platoon reports their location BS7045717.
