Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Thunder and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0920hrs Delta Company 19th Engineer at BS820345 found 1 command -detonated mine consisting of a 155 round in middle of road, negative casualties, removed and destroyed. At 0910hrs 174th Aviation at BS808384 aircraft coming back from Combat Assault was flying above an individual dressed in civilian clothes when he stepped on a mine. One of the aircraft stopped and flew him into Doctor Control. At 1610hrs a Civil Defendant escaped from a work party on LZ Bronco, Military Police are searching area at this time. At 2100hrs E Troop 1-20 Infantry TOC Bridge 104 received 2 rounds of sniper fire 500 meters northeast of bridge 104. Little people returned fire with M-60 Machinegun fire, also with track 50 caliber with negative assessment.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 0650hrs Delta Company 19th Engineers the mine sweep team received approximately 5 rounds of sniper fire western side of road, negative casualties at BS884300. At 1600hrs Charlie Company 19th Engineer at BS914145 received sniper fire, negative casualties with negative results.
Alpha Company

Bravo Company

At 0955hrs Bravo Company Command Post at BA TO, 10 at BS571359, 20 at BS563387. At 1800hrs Bravo Company (-) locations is located at BA To, 10 is at BS563387 and 20 is at BS551398.
Charlie Company

At 0820hrs Charlie Company location is at BS776406. At 1201hrs Charlie Company reports their location at BS776406. At 1809hrs Charlie Company moved into their Night Defense Position at BS775401 with ambushes at BS774414, BS762401 and BS782395.
Delta Company
August 4, 1968
Delta Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Charlie Brown and at 0935hrs found a 105mm Artillery round found last night was blown in place. At 1253hrs at BS909250 observed 3 Vietnamese moving northeast dressed in black with no weapons or packs will continue to observe. At 1806hrs Delta Company is at LZ Charlie Brown with ambushes at BS878217 and BS877217, BS932221, BS901237 and BS892241.
Echo Company
August 4, 1968
Echo Company is located at LZ Thunder where Battalion Forward is and coordinates with the Battalion Rear Elements and Base Defense elements on LZ Thunder. The 4.2 Platoon is located on LZ Thunder where they continue to provide direct fire support for the (1-20 Infantry Battalion.) At 0300hrs Recon Platoon reports their OP at location BS537660. At 1201hrs Recon Platoon reports their location at BS536675. At 1505hrs Recon Platoon reports PZ location will be BS540380. At 1700hrs Recon Platoon closed on LZ Bronco, where out of their Area of Operations, which was return back to the 2nd ARVN Division.
