Headquarters and Headquarter Company
May 3, 1969

Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located on LZ Liz and will continued to work with the ARVN units in their Duc Pho Area of Operations. Alpha Company is still OPCON to the 4-21 Infantry. At 1035hrs 1-20 Infantry requested 6 tracks to work with Delta Company on LZ Liz to work the area where they found cache of Rice a few days ago and was approved.

Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the Battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 0430hrs LZ Bronco Defense spotted by radar up to 3-5 personnel at BS828409 fired Artillery 105mm and 155mm rounds and target disappear. At 2345hrs LZ Bronco Defense spotted 5 VC by radar and fired 81mm mortar and Artillery with unknown assessment.

Alpha Company
May 3, 1969

Alpha Company is OPCON to the 4-21 Infantry. With the 4-21 Infantry Alpha Company conduct a Recon in Force to vicinity BS6928. At 0730hrs Alpha Company conduct a Combat Assault to LZ Bronco. At 1150hrs Alpha Company OPCON to -21 Infantry reports their location at BS694299.

Bravo Company
May 3, 1969

Bravo Company will conducts with 1 Platoon, saturation patrolling in the vicinity BS715455. Bravo Company with 2 Platoons will conduct saturation patrolling at BS703464. Bravo Company Reports their Night Defense Position at BS699454 with ambushes at BS701451, BS698459, and BS698456.

Charlie Company
May 3, 1969

At 0900hrs Charlie Company conducted a Recon in Force to BS705400 then conducted an air move to LZ Dragon complete by 1820hrs. Charlie Company will conduct Joint Operations with PRU making a night combat sweep from Dragon to vicinity of BS6350 acting on intelligence of a VC PW camp.

Delta Company
May 3, 1969

Delta Company has the Security Mission for LZ Liz and has one platoon making a Recon in Force to BS764408. Delta Company will put a Platoon ambush on the access road to Liz and 1 Platoon Recon in Force to vicinity BS757459 looking for a rice cache.

Echo Company
May 3, 1969

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon conducts a 3 Day Joint Operations with 6 PRU’s and 1 Advisor to vicinity BS7348, BS7345, BS757458 and to BS745480 on (Intelligence Operations). At 1205hrs Recon closed on LZ Liz. At 1815hrs Recon Platoon reports their location at BS694299.
