Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0412hrs Saber 44 is on station to work Boxes 42 and 45. At 0445hrs Saber 44 has broke station with negative findings in both Boxes. At 0610hrs PF 174 vicinity BS789430, reported receiving 14 incoming 60mm, mortar rounds. Negative damage or casualties (Direction of incoming unknown) at this time not US confirmed. At 1330hrs S-4 Hornet 46 is on station for re supply. At 2310hrs PF 149 at BS710629 PF in ambush engaged VC armed with AK-47 and 1 B 40, resulting in 3 PF WIA, negative enemy casualties not US confirmed. Legend: 1st Platoon 47, 2nd Platoon 34, 3rd Platoon 92, 4th Platoon 93, CO-99.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company 3rd Platoon moving out for BS675538. At 1530hrs Alpha Company Command Post vicinity BS679540 had 2 small Vietnamese children approximately 10 years old come to their Patrol Base with 2 baseball type and frag grenades, the paid them with 1 box of C-Rations and blew the frag in place. At 1650hrs Alpha Company vicinity BS667530, 1st Platoon sighted 2 NVA with packs and helmets wearing green uniforms, NVA moving northeast, and when sighted the NVA evaded to Southwest. Alpha engaged with small arms and checked the area, found 1 helmet and 1 Chi Com Grenade. At 1955hrs Alpha Company 1st Platoon ambush changed to BS662526 and at 2000hrs Alpha Company Command Post, 3rd and 4th Platoon vicinity BS678541, 1st platoon in the vicinity BS664529, BS662526, the 2nd Platoon at BS677558, BS666556, and the 3rd Platoon ambush was at BS676537.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company continued to set up patrol bases and multiple patrolling and Day Ambushes in their Area of Operation. At 0848hrs Bravo Company reports ambushes closed, 1st Platoon at BS745536, 2nd Platoon at BS734436 and 3rd Platoon at BS752410 with Patrol Bases Command Post, 2nd and 4th Platoons at BS737437 and 1st and 3rd Platoons at BS744401. At 1015hrs Bravo Company 3rd Platoon patrol is moving out for BS735410 and 2nd Platoon is moving out for BS725432. At 1950hrs Bravo Company Command Post, 2nd and 4th Platoon is at BS678541, 1st Platoon BS664529 and BS662526 with 2nd Platoon at BS677558 and BS666556 with 3rd Platoon ambush at BS694545. Delta Company

At 0845hrs Delta Company 1st Platoon ambush closed on BS686536, 1st Platoon patrol is moving out for BS686530. Delta Company 1st and 3rd Platoon continued to patrol their Area of Operation. At 1030hrs Delta Company 3rd Platoon patrol is moving to BS697566. At 1631hrs Delta Company vicinity BS693540 request Routine Dust Off for 1 Vietnamese RF with fainting spells and running from ears and nose and a temperature with Dust Off 88 completed at 1900hrs. At 1750hrs Delta Company 3rd Platoon is at checkpoint 1, vicinity BS697556 and 1st Platoon patrol is at checkpoint 2 vicinity BS703546 and closing. At 2005hrs Delta Company Command Post 3rd and 4th Platoon at BS699562, 1st Platoon at BS693538, 2nd Platoon BS673572, BS676576, and 1st Platoon had a ambush at BS694545. At 2125hrs Delta Company at OP Wood stock, 2nd Platoon received 1 round incoming small arms fire from BS666578, they engaging with artillery and 4.2 Mortar.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for 1-20 Infantry. At 0708hrs Recon vicinity BS766425 checked the area of contact with negative findings, moving toward LZ Liz at this time. At 0742hrs Recon closed on LZ Liz.
