Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0410hrs 1-20 Infantry reports at 1900hrs sighted 6 to 9 stationary personnel at BS728461 and engaged them with 8 HE rounds of Artillery 155mm and at 1915hrs 10 to 15 personnel were spotted moving north at grid BS732460 and engaged with 4 HE rounds of Artillery 105mm. At 2200hrs PPS-5 sighted 6 to 9 stationary personnel at grid BS753455 with negative clearance and Recon Infantry. At 2250hrs PPS-5 sighted 5 to 7 personnel that where moving northwest at grid BS745453 and negative clearance given. At 2330hr 5 to 7 personnel were sighted moving southeast at BS800425 and negative clearance was given and at 0023hrs 2 to 3 stationary personnel were sighted at BS812410 and engaged with 14 HE rounds from Artillery 105mm. At 0625hrs 4.2 Platoon reports Supporting Fire 3, Observed Mission 3 with total expend 11 HE and 26 Illumination rounds. At 0624hrs 1-20 Infantry the Battalion Commander left LZ Liz on a Visual Recon and returned at 1650hrs. At 1624hrs 1-20 Infantry we have captured on Vietnamese female at BS743443 who was wearing black pajamas. She was approximately 40 years of age.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company patrolling in their Area of Operation and at 0930hrs Alpha Company the 21 found a tunnel complex at BS752379. It is 20’ long and 4 feet wide and tall enough for a man to stand up, and we will blow the tunnel. At 1045hrs after explored the tunnel complex further the total length 100 feet X wide 4 feet X high 5 feet. The tunnel freshly dug and we request the engineers and 15 catering charges with non electrical blasting caps and detonate cord at grid BS752379. At 1910hrs Alpha Company out Night defense Position is at BS759388 the following elements are moving out the 21 element to BS764369, 22 to BS766364, 23 to BS760374, 61 to BS753366, 62 to BS754371 and 63 to BS746370. SP4 Slaton J. White was evac to 91st Evac Hospital.
Bravo Company
March 3, 1970
At 0939hrs Bravo Company 02 element is moving to BS780414 on the bamboo-cutting mission. At 1230hrs Bravo Company 22 element found a family size bunker with a fish net around it at grid BS773433, we blew the tunnel and we had a secondary explosion, and now returning. Bravo Company continued to work with joint operation with the RF and PF units in patrolling and sweep operations.
Charlie Company

At 1000hrs Charlie Company are moving off LZ Liz and at 1055hrs the 31 element to BS762412 and 01 to BS753450. At 1134hrs the 61, 51, Command Post is moving to Day Logger at BS754440, and then using multiple patrolling in their Area of Operation. At 1945hrs Charlie Company all elements are in their Night Defense Position at BS755445 and the 05 element is at BS758454.
Delta Company
March 3, 1970
At 0744hrs Delta Company we are moving to our Night Defense Position and making a sweep to Hightway1 at 0930hrs Delta Company 63 at BS773433, the 23 at BS783413 and Platoon (-) at BS778413. Delta Company completed their sweep along Highway 1 and closed on LZ Liz at 0950hrs and take over the Security Mission for LZ Liz. At 1845hrs Bravo and Delta Company were notified of the close proximity of Delta 63 and Bravo 26 snake. At 1930hrs Delta Company reports the 63 element is at BS773433, the 23 element is at BS765454 and the 03 element is at BS746370.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 0050hrs Recon 23 and Bravo Company 66 elements have linked up and are at BS753457. At 0700hrs Recon reports the 08 and 22 elements are moving to LZ Liz at BS723453 and closed on LZ Liz at 1000hrs. At 1935hrs Recon Platoon reports their 22 element is at BS773411, the 23 element is at BS783413 and the Platoon (-) is at BS778413. SGT Robert P. Mack (1520hrs 4 March multiple frag wounds to feet Frier 11H40) and SGT Terry L. Hensley (11B40) where attached to the 91st Evac Hospital.
