At 0850hrs 1-20 Infantry 1 male evading Sharks engaged and Delta Company pick up 1 male 40 years old WIA Dust Off called. SRRP Johnny reports their location at BS875294. At 1935hrs Chieu Hoi turn himself in at OP #1 BS518776 Intelligence interrogation results he is from the 567th Intel Battalion Headquarters in Quang Tim, This unit is in Quang Nagi now, he reports 2nd Infantry Regiment vicinity BS3881, BS4481, BS4878, and BS4478.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company
February 3, 1969
Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Dragon and at 1200hrs 41 is at BS695515. At 2000hrs Alpha Company locations are 23 at BS708535, 54 BS711538, 55 at BS729510 and 94 at BS725512. At 2000hrs 1-20 Infantry reports their SRRP locations Antolope at BS709519, C BS857293 and D at BS913173.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. At 0830hrs Bravo 21 is at Bridge 124 and Bravo Company reports at 1430hrs at BS733453 1 VC evading and 1 VCS detainee taken to LZ Liz. Bravo Company 41 at Bridge 124 and 22 is at BS744431 with 23 at BS746424. At 1600hrs man Dust Off yesterday was not poison by Vietnamese food, but drank to much rice wine. At 2000hrs SRRP locations for 1-20 Infantry are reports that Antolope is at BS709519, C at SRRP BS857293 and D SRRP is at BS913173.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Thunder. Charlie Company requested a Dust Off for 1 US who took a overdose of darvons, Completed at 1206hrs to Bronco. Charlie Company at 1420hrs the 96 element is on Bridge 111 and at 2000hrs Charlie Company ambushes 24 at 811358, 213 at BS909293 and 24 at BS811289. At 2000hrs SRRP locations for 1-20 Infantry reports SRRP locations Antolope at BS709519, C BS857293 and D at BS913173. 1LT Lawrence M. Marlowe took over command around this time.
Delta Company

Delta Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Charlie Brown. At 0815hrs Delta Company conducted a Combat Assault, which was completed at 0830hrs, at BS901302 engaged 1 VC suspect evading with results of 1 VC WIA and CIA. At 0850hrs at BS900295 engaged 1 VC suspect with 1 VC suspect WIA and CIA all WIA were Dust Off to LZ Bronco. At 0900hrs Delta Company at BS920290 detained 3 VC Suspects for questioning. At 1630hrs Delta Company 21 reports location at BS912290 CIA 3 VC evading and evac to LZ Liz. At 2000hrs 1-20 Infantry reports SRRP locations Antelope at BS709519, C BS857293 and D at BS913173.
Echo Company
February 3, 1969
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 0850hrs Recon Platoon reports their location at BS723498 still on the move and at 1025hrs report their location at BS707502. At 1210hrs Recon reports their location at BS703400. At 1545hrs Recon reports their location at BS702495. At 1750hrs Recon 1-20 Infantry at BS702454, 1 EM Dust Off at 1715hrs for heat exhaustion, Hoots, Jack A PFC US54931606 to 6th Support. At 1900hrs Recon is moving to BS703495 and at 2000hrs Recon is moving to BS689499.
