Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 1120hrs 1-20 Infantry Air Strike at BS738371 1 VC KIA black PJ, evading at BS682481 spotted lean to with tin roof destroy. At 1200hrs 1-20 Infantry Command and Control Helicopter at BS615565 received automatic weapons fire with 3 US WIA S-3, 1 Pilot and 1 Machine gunner. Evac to 6th Support, Major Danner treated and release, Pilot and Door Gunner Dust Off to 312 evac Hospital. Battalion reports SRRP locations for today Bobby BS879303 and Dracula BS942201.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company
January 31, 1969
Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Dragon. Alpha Company conducts a Combat Assault 1st PZ at 0726hrs and Last LZ at 0805hrs completed LZ cold at BS688589. At 1200hrs Alpha Company 21 and 41 element is located at BS692588. At 1320hrs Alpha Company is extracted back to LZ Dragon 1st PZ 1320hrs and Last LZ at 1405hrs. At 1810hrs 1–20 Infantry reports your Alpha Company positions have been compromised suggest you relocated them.

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon has the Security Mission for LZ Liz. PFC Ralpha Lugo was evac to 312th Evac Hospital sick at 0840hrs. SP4 Dennis R. Zimmerman evac to 312th Evac Hospital at 1410hrs burned on foot.
