Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0816hrs 1-20 Infantry TOC request a platoon of APC to be attached to 1-20 Infantry for an up coming Operation next week. The APC will be used to patrol the beach. At 1345hrs Request for APC for 1-20 Infantry has been approved.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 0209hrs F sector Bronco Defense reported movement behind Bunker 53-54. At 0215hrs Bronco Defense F, G, and E sector put on gray alert. At 0243hrs G sector reported incoming small arms in front of 53 returned fire. At 0320hrs Bronco Defense is put back on white alert for all sectors. At 0630hrs there was an explosion in front of Bunker 62 negative casualties. At 1300hrs Alpha Company 19 Engineer at BS778483 under VIP Program turned in by one civilian1 60mm Mortar round, 1 105mm Artillery round, 2 Hand grenades was rewarded 1,300 Piasters and all were destroyed.

Bravo Company
December 30, 1968
Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Dragon. Bravo Company reports their locations 31 and Command Post 81 at BS745530 to BS763533. At 1405hrs Bravo Company Command Post and other elements found a tunnel complex with ditches and bunker, fresh trail with the 31 snake at BS726430 in the area they also found a 155 dud and blew it in place. At 1620hrs Bravo Company at BS763533 has 1 male KIA 20-22, no ID. The 31 snake is no at BS759535.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz with Charlie Company the 31 and the 81 elements is working at BS738437. At 0910hrs Charlie Company found hooch complex with 300 pounds of rice all destroyed. Charlie Company reports the 31 and the 81 elements at BS728447. At 1743hrs Charlie Company picked up 6 VCS, 1 at BS743468, 2 BS775480, and 3 at BS806433. At 1840hrs Charlie Company returns to LZ Liz with the 33 element at BS727457 and 31 at BS727453. At 1944hrs Charlie Company at BS728453 while moving to ambush location engaged Platoon size VC element. Received AK 47 fire, scramble flare and gun ships, negative US casualties, negative assessment except the sounds of moaning and screaming from enemy, will continued to check the area.
Delta Company

At 1015hrs Delta Company at BS798498 1 US Dusted Off completed to Duc Pho. At 1100hrs Delta Company at BS800477 found 1 155 dud round, destroyed in place. At 1308hrs Delta Company at BS768538 received 2 rounds mortar fire with negative casualties and negative results searching area. At 1607hrs Delta Company received sniper fire from the south at BS798474 with negative casualties or damage. At 2020hrs Delta Company at BS803499 where 31ambush element engaged 3 VC with results 3 VC KIA. At 2030hrs Delta Company is located at BS810488.
Echo Company

Echo Company is located at LZ Liz where Battalion Forward is located and coordinates the Battalion Rear elements and Base Defense element on LZ Liz. The 4.2 Platoon is located on LZ Liz where they continue to provide direct fire support for the (1-20 Infantry Battalion). At 1010hrs Recon Platoon reports their location at BS754477. At 1200hrs Recon Platoon reports their location at BS78747. At 1520hrs Recon Platoon conducts a Combat Assault PZ (BS798482) at 1429hrs and LZ (BS683417) at 1501hrs LZ was cold. At 1615hrs Recon Platoon reports their location at BS683413. At 1840hrs Recon Platoon reports their Night Defense Position at BS688414.
