Battalion Forward: 1-20 Infantry Battalion Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and continued to carry out their Mission and work with the ARVN units in their Duc Pho Area of Operations. At 0600hrs LRRP Nevada was inserted at BS632266 at 0630hrs. At 0900hrs Ranger Team Nevada is located at BS613262. At 1505hrs E Troop 1 Calvary and Delta Company detain mine result s 6 US WIA (E) vicinity BS770470. At 1128hrs LRRP Nevada at BS615268 observed camouflage huts, cave opening at BS630266 another one to east. At 1655hrs LRRP Nevada at BS590263 spotted 8 VC/NVA, called artillery and 1 secondary explosion with 3 KBA.
Battalion Rear: At 0445hrs LZ Bronco Base Defense spotted at 840386 4 VC and fired artillery at that location. PFC Michael C. Mix was evac to 312th Evac Hospital at 1700hrs with frag wounds to head.
Alpha Company
April 30, 1969
Alpha Company is OPCON to the 4-21 Infantry. At 1050hrs Alpha Company at BS677282 found and cleared area with building supplies stacked, looked like it took place lately. At 1300hrs received automatic weapons fire and call in artillery and found an AK 47 Rifle. Alpha Company then moved into their Night Defense Position at BS679286.
Bravo Company
April 30, 1969
Bravo Company will use their Night Defense Position as their Day Logger today. At 1220hrs Bravo Company 24 BS701451, 21 and 51 BS706442. At 1330hrs found 2 bodies, 150 pounds of rice, pit helmet believe to be killed on the 28th. At 1605hrs Bravo Company at BS716445 found structures, poncho NVA web gear and pith helmets and 97 rounds of AK47 ammo.
Charlie Company

At 1035hrs Charlie Company reports their located at BS693430 and by 1220hrs Charlie Company is at their Day Logger at BS705421 with 21, 31 and 63 elements is at BS693430.
Delta Company
April 30, 1969
Delta Company continued their Security mission for LZ Liz. At 1023hrs Delta Company is at BS823440 PRU found rice cache 2,000 pounds destroyed and 1,000 pounds evac. At 1505hrs E Troop 1st Calvary with Delta Company vicinity BS470470 detonated a mine results in 6 US WHA (E). Delta Company reports 3 WHA from Delta Company (Possible Medic and 4.2 FO) SP4 James J. Fallon was evac to the 27th Surgical Hospital.
Echo Company
April 30, 1969
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 0750hrs Recon Platoon is located at LZ Bronco. Recon reports their location at BS835392. At PFC James Fallon was attached to 312th Evac Hospital at 1430hrs (11B10).
