Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0750hrs (1-20 Infantry) TOC Request: Area of Operation Extension Date/Time/Grid 011200hrs to 021800hrs, from BS7248 to BS7648 to BS7645 to BS7245 to start. Purpose Replace batteries in sensors. Disapproved, but we have permission for Recon to move through to recharge the batteries. At 1000hrs the 4 Regiment 2nd Company 1-4 Battalion ARVN. Company Command Post at BS746450, 1st Platoon at BS753459 and 2nd platoon at BS750446. We are going to be working in their Area of Operation charging sensor devices. At 1030hrs Ready Reaction Med CAP Team beginning operation in Duc Pho area grid BS777446. At 1645hrs S-5 bought following VIP from Vietnamese children: 27 M-79 rounds, 4 5 pounds cans Petna, 8 home made hand frag, 1 81mm mortar, paid 2,270 piasters for the above and all destroyed in place. At 1820hrs TMF Fire Mission time called 1827hrs String61 target B, 5 personnel moving east to west at 2 miles per hour, metal confirmation, negative clearance, due to proximity of friendly. At 1945hrs TMF fire Mission, time called 1940hrs, String 61 target B, Stationary personnel with metal confirmation, engaged at 1944hrs with 12 HE rounds105mm Artillery. Fired for a 2nd time at 1953hrs with 8 HE rounds 105mm Artillery. At 2115hrs Area of Operation Extension Request for 4-21 Infantry: Date/Time/Grid ASAP to 032400 from BS790416 northwest along highway 1 to BS780440 east to 833480. Purpose: Combat Operations Approved by AEP III, designated B 93. At 2206hrs Nighthawk (Blue Ghost 49) on station but unable to work out due to weather and had to break station. Legend 1st Platoon 03-08, 2nd Platoon 53-58, 3rd Platoon 83-88, 4th Platoon 63-68 and CO 02.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

Bravo Company

Bravo Company uses Multiple Ambushes and some Day Patrolling in their Area of Operation today with Multiple Night Ambushes in their Area of Operation.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company remains on LZ Dragon and take over the Security Mission for LZ Dragon.
Delta Company
November 2, 1970
Delta Company will continue Multiple Patrolling and Search and Clear operations in their Area of Operation. At 1140hrs Delta Company 07 is moving to BS745584 and 86 moving to BS758576. At 1230hrs the 2nd platoon, on a retrieving operation for lost equipment, found 3 cans of Petna and 1 81mm HE round. They did not find missing weapons or radio, action took place at grid BS726544. At 1555hrs Delta 1st Company Platoon grid BS755583 observed 1 enemy in a green uniform with pack, engaged at 75 meters with pack evading north. Pursued with negative results at this time they detained 1 male, 45 dressed in black and white, they checked out his hootch and found 13 bowls of rice and fresh fruit on table ready for serving. Also 1 female, 25 dressed in blue and black and Back Hauled to Military Intelligence. At 1830hrs Delta Company 2nd Platoon on retrieving operation for lost equipment found 8 cans of Petna, 1 81mm illumination, 1 60mm illumination round, 1 bandoleer of M-16 ammo, and 1 WP hand frag, was unable to find missing equipment. At 1904hrs Delta Company 03, 02 and 63 in location at BS755575, 06 at BS751581 and 85 is at BS754570. At 1928hrs Delta Company 83 at BS750574 and 87 is at BS754570.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the coordination responsibility for Base Defense. At 1700hrs Recon Platoon is finished on recharging sensors and en route to LZ Liz.
