Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located on LZ Liz and will continued to work with the ARVN units in their Duc Pho Area of Operations. Alpha Company remains (OPCON) to the 4-21 Infantry. At 1915hrs LZ Liz OP BS732405 spotted 3 VC, 1 with pack, moving southeast.

Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the Battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 0015hrs LZ Bronco Defense spotted 2 VC/ NVA at BS834403 by radar and fired mortar and Artillery with unknown results.

Alpha Company
May 2, 1969

Alpha Company is OPCON to the 4-21 Infantry. With the 4-21 Alpha Company conducts a 3 Platoon Recon in Force to BS696290 then south to BS691280. At 0720hrs Alpha Company is hit by heavy small arms fire results with one WIA (E) shot in leg Dust Off completed at 0755hrs. At 1615hrs Alpha Company is located vicinity BS681299. PFC Alfred J. McNiff is evac to 312 Evac Hospital.

Bravo Company

Bravo Company conduct saturation patrolling in the vicinity BS707457 and one platoon at BS7154553.

Charlie Company
May 2, 1969

Charlie Company conducted 3 Platoon Recon in Force vicinity BS699409 and BS706405 and BS716396. At1020hrs Charlie Company at BS705421 requested route Dust Off for 4 US with high temp 104 completed at 1200hrs. At 1840hrs Charlie Company has moved into their Night Defense Position at BS705421 with 84 at BS716420 and 44 at BS708427.

Delta Company

Delta Company has the Security Mission for LZ Liz and conducted a Recon in Force with the 84 element to BS726450. At 1915hrs LZ Liz OP BS732405 spotted 3 VC, 1 with a pack, moving southeast.

Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon conducted a Recon in Force to vicinity BS757394 with 6 tracks with the PRU and return LZ Bronco.
