Battalion Forward: 1-20 Infantry Battalion Headquarters is located at LZ Liz as they continued their Mission in the Duc Pho Area of Operations and continued to work with the ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0030hrs 1-20 Infantry on LZ Liz BS752436 received 2 rounds 82mm mortar rounds with negative casualties or damage, returned Artillery on grid and had visual sighting of 25-30 VC/NVA in area.
Battalion Rear: Battalion Rear continued to carry out the general support Mission for the Battalion. At 0001hrs LZ Bronco received 2 81mm mortars negative casualties or damage and 25-30 dinks at BS740424 engage with artillery and mortars. At 2140hrs LZ Bronco Defense reports at 2003hrs 10-15 VC at BS838385 fired 8 81mm and 12 105mm rounds, at 2044hrs 4-5 VC vicinity BS83173894 fired 12 rounds 105mm. At 2100hrs large element at BS831388 fired 8 rounds 81mm, at 2120hrs spotted 2 VC at vicinity BS815400 fired 8 rounds of 81mm rounds and at 2140hrs spotted 4-5 VC at BS833413 and not fire.

Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz and also has 1 Platoon Recon in Force vicinity BS774435 and BS779414.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company conducts a Recon in Force to the vicinity of Bronco and area of Rocket site last night and we have negative finding so far in Ville deserted and almost destroyed overgrown with grass.
Delta Company

Delta Company at 0915hrs found a destroyed Ville and found 2 Vietnamese women with good ID who were carrying a old women about 60 years wounded by artillery, did not hinder their people but continued to Search and Clear operation in the area. Delta Company conducts Saturation Patrolling in vicinity BS733416 and get ready for a Combat Assault in the morning as they move into their Night Defense Position at BS79242. Delta Company at 2335hrs reports that they have received 10-15 rounds of small arm from the Northwest. At 2345hrs Recon at BS765405 reports 20 to 30 VC/NVA 700 to 800 meters to southeast moving southwest across rice paddy, looked like they were carrying mortar, called in Artillery. Recon Platoon reports SGT GEORGE ROBERT PALERMO AND SGT EDMOND Q WILSON IS LISTED AS KHA (see Echo Company ).
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 0550hrs Recon Platoon lengthening with snake, proceeding to Day Logger. At 1415hrs Recon reports their location at BS769408. At 1850hrs Recon is located at BS763391 and 11and 21 at BS762401. At 2020hrs at BS763391 hit a Bobby Trap, hand grenade type, results is 2 US WIA. At 2217hrs Recon is moving at this time and at 2217hrs at BS770410, took AW and SA fire 1 US with gunshot wounds in chest and leg and 1 US KIA, 1 VC running on tracks, took under fire. At 2345hrs Recon reports at 765405 20-30 VC/NVA 700-800 metes to SE moving SW across rice paddy, looked like they carrying mortar, called in Artillery. SGT EDMOND Q. WILSON AND SGT GEORGE R. PALERMO (DIED OF WOUNDS) ARE LISTED AS KIA.
