Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Forward Area 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Ross for Operation WHEELER-WALLOWA and are OPCON to the 196th Light Infantry Brigade.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 0938hrs Bravo Company 19th Engineer culvert at BS801391 is completely destroyed, crater size 30’ X 40’ diameter estimates charge 140 pounds, and Highway 1 is closed, by pass is being worked on will be open later to military traffic. At 1008hrs Bravo Company 19th Engineer reports road is open from LZ Bronco to Bong Song and Chu Lai.
Alpha Company
June 2, 1968
Alpha Company west to vicinity AT9530 and at 1715hrs at AT958293 Alpha Company engaged 3 VC with the results of 1 VC KIA and 1 AK CIA serial Number is #3156071 dressed in brown shirt and black pants. Alpha Company Alpha Company a Vietnam woman said 1 WIA ran north with weapon. Alpha Company is moving to AT967296 to AT960293.
Bravo Company
June 2, 1968
Bravo Company will continue their Security Mission for LZ Ryder and will maintain 1 Platoon OP in vicinity AT960360.
Charlie Company
June 2, 1968
Charlie Company conducted Search and Destroy operation in their Area of Operation to AT97033 to AT966332. At 1510hrs Charlie Company at AT978316 received 6 rounds of automatic weapons fire 300 meters south east observed 1 VC in area and engaged with small arms fire and M-72 Law and checking area now.
Delta Company
June 2, 1968
Delta Company has the Security Mission for LZ Ross with one platoon on a Sweep and Clear Operation to the northeast and return to LZ at night. At 1245hrs Delta Company at BT082390 received 15 rounds of small arms fire and 3 rounds of M-79 from 300 meters south returned fire and firing stopped with negative casualties.
Echo Company
June 2, 1968
Echo Company is located at LZ Ross where Battalion Forward, is located and coordinates with the Battalion Rear Elements and the Base Defense on LZ Ross. The 4.2 Platoon is located on LZ Ross where they continue to provide direct fire support for the Battalion. 1-20 Infantry Recon Platoon manned OP Tiger, Cobra and Dragon.
