Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz and the Access Road.
Bravo Company
August 2, 1969
At 0700hrs Bravo Company is in their Day Logger position at BS805466 and we will be sending out clover leaf patrols and we will give you their locations when element have reach the objective. Bravo Company Ajax for the Day is 81. At 1944hrs Bravo Company reports they are in their Night Defense Position at BS809463.
Charlie Company
August 2, 1969
Charlie Company moved to Day Logger at BS851877, 91 Recon in Force to BS844670. At 1140hrs the 21 snake join Day Logger and at 1410hrs Charlie Company 51 snake element will accept re supply at grid BS826368, 51 moved to snake location at BS833365. The remainder of Charlie Company closed on LZ Bronco.
Delta Company

Delta Company on Stand Down and SP4 Ronald Kirkpatrick was evac to 91st Evac Hospital.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2
Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. At 0645hrs 4.2 Platoon reports Schedule fires 20, Observed Mission 2, total expend 46 HE. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 0835hrs Recon Platoon leaving LZ Liz for this morning Recon Patrol and at 0850hrs reached checkpoint 1 BS742438. At 0950hrs Recon has reached checkpoint 2 BS728447. At 1050hrs Recon Platoon reports we are now at checkpoint 3 at BS725452. At 1120hrs Recon Platoon vicinity BS722454, spotted 3-5 NVA/VC observing our movements from heavy brush. Took them under fire, had 3 secondary explosions, negative body count. One observed fatigue uniform calling artillery in on location (Brush too thick to penetrate from our location.). At 1405hrs Recon reports is at checkpoint 4 at BS720453. At 1405hrs Recon Platoon is at checkpoint 6 at BS728439 will eat chow here and at 1530hrs Recon is now closed on LZ Liz.
