Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 1010hrs Helix 03 is putting in an Air Strike on 809311. At 1120hrs 1-20 Infantry Battalion Commander left LZ Liz and returned at 1150hrs.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 0730hrs Charlie Company 39 Engineer the mine sweep team received small arms fire and return fire with small arms fire results are unknown At 0800hrs Charlie Company 39 Engineer 39 Engineer at BS783429 found 1 105mm rounds booby trap with trip wire on northwest of headwall of culvert with booby trap at the approach to the culvert, destroyed in place.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company is moving in to our Night Defense Position at BS747377 with multiple ambushes.
Bravo Company
April 2, 1970
Bravo Company 1st PZ was completed at 0700 and 1st LZ completed at 0717hrs cold. At 0805hrs Bravo Company 01 blew a bunker with 2 hand grenade frag and got a secondary explosion at BS813425 with one US received minor frag wounds from the bunker incident, and will not require a Dust Off name Hoftz. At 0835hrs Bravo Company the 61 element is moving out for security at BS784415. At 1435hrs Bravo Company a Vietnamese child informed Bravo Company there were booby traps located 85 meters south of the main Command Post at BS782433, there were 2 hand grenade frags in cans connected to trip wire with wax to hold on the cap. The wax was still wet, and was in the same place where the mines were blown earlier in the day. The 43 element at 1711hrs pick up one detainee 60 years old and turned over to MACV. Bravo Company SP4 Kenneth M. Hoftz FW left leg treated in the field Battalion Aid Station reports.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. At 0720hrs Charlie Company the 63 element has closed on LZ Liz. At 0905hrs the 43 element has closed on LZ Liz. At 2002hrs Charlie Company reports their SRRP, element (the 44 element) is at BS772427 and access road patrols are roving in their respective area.
Delta Company

0844hrs Delta Company our present location is our Day Logger at BS737431. At 1250hrs Delta Company 31 element found 2 bunkers at BS734436 and one family size and one-man bunker in a hedgerow (BS736437), neither was destroyed. At 1849hrs Delta Company is at their Night Defense Position at BS738428. At 2004hrs Delta Company the 01 element is at BS714437. The O2 element is at BS721429; the O3 element is at BS721426. The 42 element is at BS724417, the 43 element is at BS723412, the 44 element is at BS727406, the 62 element is at BS731401, the 63 element is at BS739400, and the 64 element is at BS756396.
Echo Company
April 2, 1970
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. At 4.2 Platoon reports Scheduled Fires 10 for a total expended of 8 HE and 13 Illumination. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 2000hrs Recon Platoon reports the 62 element is at BS767404, the 64 element is at BS768400 and the 61 element is at BS768388.
