Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0740hrs 1-20 Infantry Bravo Company at 0005hrs vicinity BS843328 bunker line reported bridge 108 was on fire. Fired illumination but noticed no movement. At 1350rs 1-20 Infantry Bravo Company inserted Big Bear SRRP at BS866297. At 2015hrs 1-20 Infantry on LZ Liz heard noise at BS758425, fired 2 Mortar, noise at BS758425, fired 2 mortar rounds, noise stopped, unknown results.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company
April 2, 1969
At 1155hrs Alpha Company is located at LZ Bronco and Alpha Company conducts a Combat Assault from LZ Bronco at 1410hrs to LZ 705423. Alpha Company Reports their location at 1600hrs is at BS705423.
Bravo Company
April 2, 1969
Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Thunder. At 0005hrs Bravo Company vicinity BS843328 bunker line reported bridge 107 was on fire responded with ILL but notice no movement. At 1020hrs Bravo Company located at BS866297.
Charlie Company
April 2, 1969
Charlie Company has the Security Mission for LZ Charlie Brown. At 1130hrs Charlie Company at 1115hrs vicinity of BS916258 Dust Off for 1 US WHA (E) hit a booby trap and Dust Off completed at 1130hrs. At 2015hrs Charlie Company at bridge 84 received small arms fire from BS921218 also 2 WP grenades from vicinity of refuge Ville. 1SGT Melvin E. Barry was attached to the 312 Evac Hospital.
Delta Company
April 2, 1969
Delta Company continued their Security mission for LZ Liz and at 1400hrs Delta Company at BS738446 evac I detainee for questioning to LZ Bronco. At 2015hrs Delta Company heard noise at BS758425 responses with 4.2 Mortar fire and noise stopped unknown results.
Echo Company
April 2, 1969
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 1100hrs Recon Platoon returned from Chu Lai and again taken over their Security Mission for LZ Liz. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz.
