Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0300hrs MACV Mo Duc reports RF Platoon 937 at grid BS752640 received 6 hand frag grenades in wire, enemy unit unknown, engaged with small arms, negative friendly casualties and unknown enemy casualties. At 1130hrs Brigade highway 1 is under, 18" of water for 75 meters on southern approach to bridge at grid BS594932- only emergency vehicles will pass this point- only light traffic will be allowed on other portions of road between Chu Lai and Quang Ngai. At 1400hrs Area of Operation Extension B90 to Date/Time/Grid 302400hrs October 1970, from Highway 1 along 44 grid line to the river approved by CPT Parker. Legend 1st Platoon 03-08, 2nd Platoon 53-58, 3rd Platoon 83-88, 4th Platoon 63-68 and CO 02.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

Bravo Company

At 1927hrs Bravo Company locations is the 05 element at BS720609, 55 at BS718614 and 95 at BS726611 because of poor weather conditions most operations have been put on whole.
Charlie Company
October 29, 1970
At 1604hrs Charlie Company 87 element received 30 rounds of automatic weapons fire from grid BS730624, estimate 1 enemy sniper firing 10 rounds burst. Since the 87 were next to the 03 element, the 03 element laid down a base of fire and the 04 and 87 elements maneuver against enemy sniper. They maneuvered to 200 meters from suspected sniper location and ran into a deep unaffordable stream. At that time they received 10 rounds of automatic weapons fire from grid BS733619 the 1st round struck SP4 Ray, Ronnie in the neck and simultaneously they received 3-5 rounds of small arms fire from grid BS733620. Urgent Dust Off call for 1 US at 1604hrs completed at 1630hrs Guns ships accompanied Dust Off and expended on target and Artillery fired as sharks departed. Charlie Company reports SP4 Ronnie Ray was evac to Chu Lai.

Delta Company

At 0630hrs Delta Company reports 53 in location at BS743563 and 02 moving to BS759559. At 0710hrs Delta Company 63 and 83 in their location and the 56 element is moving to BS738563. At 1006hrs Delta Company 55 element at grid BS724570 while en-route to preplanned link up spot 2 people in 1 in green uniform and l in black. 55 told them to stop, they then fire warning shots and they evaded ran into a wood line and head north, checked out area with negative findings. These 2 people were initially sighted at 100 meters, engaged at 250 meters, they evaded to the north. At 1901hrs Delta Company reports elements locations 02, 63 and 03 at BS758559, 53 at BS730568 and 83 at BS754575.
Echo Company
October 29, 1970
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the coordination responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for the 1-20 Infantry.
