Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and continued working with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 2105hrs 19 Engineer reported that 1-20 Infantry command is passing locations or their element as well as Recon 3-1 Infantry in that clear, has been procedure for last 2 nights. At 2315hrs LZ Liz observed 45 individuals, picked up 16 more, will heavy packs vicinity BS749415, calling in Artillery, Spooky diverted to work target area.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 0920hrs Delta Company 19 Engineer received a burst of AK Fire negative casualties. At 1020hrs Charlie Company 19 Engineer sniper fire 20-30 rounds, return fire negative damage or casualties.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. Alpha Company will conduct 1 platoon Recon in Force to vicinity BS735444, BS736426, BS745422.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company conducts air move to Chu Lai for their Stand Down.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company returns to Bronco from their Stand Down in Chu Lai. They move out to the Night Defense Position at 1845hrs vicinity of BS813410 with the 33 element at BS805414 and the 53 element to BS806417.
Delta Company

Delta Company conducts Company size Recon in Force to BS769404 and move to their Night Defense Position at BS768438. At 0905hrs Delta Company engaged 2 NVA with results of 2 NVA KIA and at 1940hrs engaged 1 VC results with 1 VC KIA. At 1620hrs Delta Company reports their location at BS768402with a squad at BS786424. At 1945hrs Delta 1-20 Infantry at BS763559, 33 at BS760495 and 93 is at BS760394.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. At 1845hrs Recon Platoon reports their location is at BS719438. PFC Bruce J. Anderson was attached to 23rd Medical Battalion (11C10).
