Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Siberia and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0950hrs Du Pont 61 and Division Commanding General arrived at LZ Siberia and depart at 1030hrs. Remarks Briefed on our plans for deployment of companies between now and 03 October and our Air movement Plans on 4 October 1971. Discussed ARVN take over of LZ West and Siberia. Said that the Ammo could be turned over to ARVN, seem pleased with take over plans station that mission of companies in field was to protect LZ Siberia, West and Heip Duc. He believes Siberia is most likely Fire Base for enemy mortar attacks, also discussed enemy location and avenue of approach. At 1345hrs Slow Motion #2 is on station LOH and broke station at 1500hrs. At 1615hrs Minuteman 11 reports (Decade 78/97) of the 198 Infantry Brigade is coming to LZ Siberia.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for Chu Lai.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ West and start preparations to turn over the Fire Base to the ARVN and for their air movement to Chu Lai.
Bravo Company
September 28, 1971
At 0800hrs Bravo Company Command Post and 2nd Platoon is moving to AT900260 their Patrol Base and closed on location at 0935hrs. At 1655hrs Bravo Company 1st Platoon is in their Patrol Base at AT902263. Bravo Company continued their Saturation Patrolling in Are of Operation and at 1130hrs Ellsworth, Speight while moving to Patrol Base sprained ankle and sent to Chu Lai on resupply helicopter at AT903254. 1-20 Infantry to Bravo Company requested a casualty report to be made up by Bravo Company approximately grid AT903254. At 1845rhs Bravo Company 1st Platoon established their Night Defense Position at AT900257 and Bravo Company Command Post with 2nd Platoon is at AT903263.
Charlie Company

At 0950hrs Charlie Company 1st Platoon moving to Patrol Base AT868246. The 1-20 Infantry plan on transfer LZ Siberia to the ARVN. The 1-20 Infantry plan and their missions to companies in field is to protect Siberia and West and Heip Duc. At 1355hrs Charlie Company is Patrol Base at AT868246 and AT871245. At 1405hrs Charlie Company EAGOR, E-9611 was sent to LZ Siberia, he was shaken up by booby trap 30 August, he will be keep on a 3 day light Duty profile. At 1645hrs Charlie Company 2nd Platoon and 1st Platoon is moving to AT866247 and Charlie Company is moving to Night Defense Position at AT871246 and at 1825hrs closed on location.
Delta Company

Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Siberia, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the coordination responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for 1-20 Infantry.
