Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Cork and will continued to work with ARVN units their Area of Operations in OPERATION VERNON LAKE II.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 0001hrs LZ Bronco went on gray alert are receiving sniper fire and automatic weapons fire with negative casualties or damage at this time, also flare ship received fire. At 0030hrs Delta Company 4-3 Infantry ambush heard digging on the road by laundry, observed 2 VC, engaged with grenade and small arms fire at 0615hrs element reports 1 VCS in hooch, with frag wounds in his back brought in to LZ Bronco for questionings and 1 VC KIA, location was about 100 meters from the main gate. Alpha Company 19 Engineer reports Road is open from LZ Bronco to Bong Song. 19 Engineer reports a Chu Hoi turned himself in at LZ Max evac to LZ Bronco. At 0800hrs Charlie Company 39 Engineer at BS713609 received 6 rounds of small arms fire casualties returned fire and continued Mine Sweep. At 0820hrs Charlie Company at BS719590 received 30 rounds of automatic weapons fire with negative casualties, returned fire and continued Mine Sweep. At 1940hrs Charlie Company at BS718585 received 2 rounds 82mm Mortar with no casualties or damage.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company at 1208hrs reports locations Command Post at BS485610, 51 and 61 at BS485615, 61 at BS493602, 21 at BS478619, 93 at BS493596 with 62 at BS474613. Alpha Company set up Night Defense Position Alpha Company (-) at BS485610, 51 and 61 at BS785615 with 91 at BS493602.
Bravo Company

Charlie Company

At 1020hrs Charlie Company (-) at BS408617, 91 at BS40710 and 21 at BS406622, Charlie Company set up a Patrol Base in their Old Night Defense Position and are using saturation patrolling and will use the same Night Defense Position for tonight.
Delta Company

Activity was very light Delta Company finding a hut complex with a rice cache and documents, Night Defense Position locations BS407614. At 1208hrs Delta Company reports their locations Delta Command Post 61 and 21 at BS407620 and 51 and 91 at BS408614. At 1800hrs Delta Company reports their Night Defense Position at BS407614. SP4 Peter Metro was evac to 312th Evac Hospital.
Echo Company

Echo Company is located at LZ Cork where Battalion Forward is and coordinates with the Battalion Rear Elements and Base Defense elements on LZ Cork. The 4.2 Platoon is located on LZ Cork where they continue to provide direct fire support for the (1-20 Infantry Battalion). At 0910hrs Recon Platoon reports their Security Mission for LZ Cork.
