Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0119hrs Sabre Black is on station in Box #66 at 0140hrs negative findings going to Box 69 and broke station at 0205hrs with negative findings. At 0220hrs Major Edwards checked bunker 8 and 9 no there Alert Called. At 0215hrs Bunkers 15, 16, 17 and 1 inspected by Major Edwards all OK except # 1 Henson was asleep. At 0557hrs LT Davis inspected Bunker # 3 satisfactory and SFC Taylor inspected bunker # 4 satisfactory. At 0850hrs Access Road is now open. At 1230hrs Mo Duc reports at BS790425, PF 199 got contact with unknown number of enemy force, Results 1 PF WIA, 2 civilians WIA and 2 VC KIA and 2 AK 47 CIA. At 1344hrs Dolphin 22 is on station. At 1402hrs AMC Bird is on Station and at 1425hrs Wild Cat 996 is on station. At 1527hrs 1-20 Infantry Combat Assault #1 PZ at 1419hrs and 4 and last LZ at 1505hrs at 1600hrs Dolphin 22 broke station. At 2015hrs 1-20 Infantry Mechanical Ambushes out: Alpha 8, Bravo 6, Delta 4 for a total of 18 out. At 2030hrs Mo Duc District Advisors with PF Force at BS775556 Operation North of Nui Ong Do picked up antiwar propaganda leaflets written in English by X USMC. Individual appear to be 2 to 3 days old, Battalion S-3 with Mo Duc SDA to pick up leaflets by LOH on 290830 May 1971. At 2107hrs LZ Liz SGT Pennal OK bunkers 6, 7, 8, 9 all satisfactory. At 2250hrs Bunkers 1, 15, 16, and 17 inspected 16 had negative knowledge of information. At 2305hrs LT Sadler bunkers 3 to 9 all satisfactory. Legend: 1st Platoon 34, 2nd Platoon 05, 3rd Platoon 89, 4th Platoon 78, CO-07.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued to use Patrol Bases and multiple patrolling in their Area of Operation. At 1055hrs Alpha Company 1st Platoon Patrol to checkpoint 3 at BS693519. At 1418hrs Alpha Company 3rd Platoon is at checkpoint 1 at BS717489. At 1410hrs Alpha Company 2nd Platoon patrol is moving out to BS720510. At 1918hrs Alpha Company Night Defense Position 3rd Platoon at BS725474, Command Post, 2nd and 4th Platoon at BS722567 with 2nd Platoon ambush at BS729500 and have 8 Mechanical Ambush out.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company continued to use Patrol Bases and multiple patrolling in their Area of Operation. At 0724hrs Bravo Company Command Post and 3rd Platoon is moving to Patrol Base at BS699525 and 2nd Platoon is in their patrol Base at BS723436. At 0800hrs Bravo Company 1st Platoon is moving out to BS725458 and 1st Platoon and the Command Post in their Patrol Base at BS728457. At 1629hrs Bravo Company 1st Platoon patrol is moving out to BS723455. At 1752hrs Bravo Company 1st Platoon patrol has closed to BS728457 and 3rd Platoon patrol closed to BS699425. At 1817hrs Bravo Company Command Post with 3rd Platoon in Night Defense Position at BS726428, 1st and 4th Platoon in Night Defense Position at BS729458 and 2nd Platoon at BS719427 with 6 Mechanical Ambush out.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued to use Patrol Bases and multiple patrolling in their Area of Operation. At 0815hrs Charlie Company 2nd Platoon found 45 in holster Serial Number 1789792 at BS640564 also 2 magazines. At 1148hrs Charlie Company found 4 60mm mortar Booby trap at BS638564 and at 1317hrs Charlie Company 3rd Platoon at Nui Vong bought 1 81mm mortar from 2 Vietnamese kids 8 years old, 1 meal C-Ration. At 1401hrs Charlie Company 2nd Platoon found 1 leather satchel with book inside; also find 21 more books at BS640564. At 1419hrs Charlie Company at PZ 1419hrs and Last LZ 1505hrs Charlie Company take over the Security Mission for LZ Liz. At 2107hrs LZ Liz SGT Pennal OK bunkers 6, 7, 8 and 9 all satisfactory. At 2250hrs Bunkers 1, 15, 16, and 17 inspected 16 had negative knowledge of information. At 2305hrs LT Sadler bunkers 3 to 9 all satisfactory.
Delta Company

Delta Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. At 1415hrs Delta Company

Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for 1-20 Infantry. At 0609hrs Recon Platoon closed on Alpha Company 1st Platoon at BS696517. Recon Platoon continued their Mission of replacing batteries.
