Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0445hrs 1-20 Infantry reports Radar at 1945hrs sighted 8 to 10 stationary personnel at BS78412 with negative clearance, informed Delta Company and at 2005hrs spotted 8 to 10 personnel wee sighted moving northeast at BS792472 and engaged with 30 HE of Artillery 155. At 2010hrs Radar reports TMF sighted 4 personnel at BS842395 and engaged with 5 HE of Artillery 105, and at 2115hrs 4 to 5 stationary personnel were sighted at BS729451 and engaged with 22 HE of Artillery. At 2215hrs Radar reports 10 to 15 stationary personnel were sighted at BS726455 and engaged with 6 HE of Artillery 155 and at 2215hrs 10 to 15 stationary personnel were sighted at BS726455 and engaged with 6 HE of Artillery 155. At 2145hrs Radar reports 6 to 7 stationary personnel were sighted at BS726482 and engaged with 4 HE and 8 fire crackers rounds of Artillery 155 and at 0110hrs 8 to 10 stationary personnel were sighted at BS801466 and engaged with 12 HE of Artillery 105. At 0200hrs Radar reports 6 to 9 stationary personnel were sighted at BS714446 and engaged with 11 HE of Artillery 155. At 0905hrs Brigade reports a convoy will depart Chu Lai at 280800 March 1970 en route to Quin Nhon will arrive at Quang Ngai at 0930hrs and it will cross I and II corps boundary, at 1200hrs so be prepared to provide a reaction force. CP 165 is at BS758489 and CP 75 is at BS810369. Brigade will keep us informed. At 1330hrs Brigade reports the convoy was delayed and left Chu Lai at 1200hrs arrived at Quin Nhon at 1400hrs and will be in the southern part of our Area of Operation at 1630hrs. At 1740hrs Brigade reports at grid BS744320 between 1400hrs and 1630hrs Warlord had 2 NVA KIA and 1 NVA WIA who was evaded, one SKS and one AK47 CIA with four other NVA (description is unknown). At 1745hrs Helix Bomb Damage Assessment on the air strike at BS745321 missed the target and requests another preplanned target at another time.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company
March 28, 1970
Alpha Company continued their multiple patrolling of their Area of Operation and at 1820hrs we are moving into their Night Defense Position at BS762342.
Bravo Company
March 28, 1970
At 0820hrs Bravo Company 14 element picked up 1 Vietnamese female age 40 wearing all black and 1male 14 year old, in all black sent to MACV. At 1556hrs Bravo Company the 65 element at grid BS762450 pick up one male age 35 with 2 ID’s. The 67 element spotted 1 male and 1 female and they evaded at BS790448, we caught the female age 19 all in black turned into MACV. At 1700hrs Bravo Company detained 1 male with negative ID and will extract thru MACV Channels
Charlie Company

Charlie Company has the Security Mission for LZ Liz and at 1850hrs the 35 element is moving to BS761435.
Delta Company
March 28, 1970
At 0802hrs Delta Company at grid BS696434. Delta Company 12 is moving of their Patrol Base at BS695424. At 0730hrs Delta Company reports the following patrols are moving out 62 to BS734390, 63 to BS740405, 64 to BS760395, and 12 to BS750400, 13 to BS743406 and 14 to BS745400. At 0835hrs Delta Company the 32 element need a priority Dust Off for a Vietnamese child who hit a booby trap, the baby has 13 to 14 head injuries, but not further information was available at grid BS766535 completed at 0858hrs. At 0932hrs Delta Company 12 found an air mattress cut into a bag, full of old M 60 ammo cartridges, M260 shells live at grid BS791422. At 1131hrs Delta Company 12 has spotted 160 to 150 personnel at BS665413, we are putting in a air strikes and have artillery standing by with War Lords coming on station all where dressed in black pajamas and is unknown if they had weapons. The fighter with Helix adjusting, are taking small arms fire at 1205hrs. At 1525hrs Delta Company we checked area of Air Strikes with negative finding. At 1525hrs Delta Company we checked out the area of the air strike and had negative findings except for some broom making material, which was destroyed. At 1642hrs Delta Company is now at our new Night Defense Position is at BS714425. At 1907hrs Delta Company reports we are in our Night Defense Position.
Echo Company
March 28, 1970
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. At 0620hrs 4.2 Platoon reports Scheduled Fires 9 and Observed Missions 1 for a total expended 15 He, 9 WP, and 30 Illumination. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz.
