Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0904hrs Primo 2 is on station at this time. At 1600hrs Primo 2 returned on station for PM flying (Visual Recon). At 1630hrs Primo 2 has broken station at this time. Charlie Company will continue their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 1940hrs Charlie Company Bunker #49 reported receiving 4-5 rounds of AK47 fire approximately 400 meters from northeast form 1 VC/NVA after observing him for approximately 30 minutes they did not engaged him while observing him due to the fact that they could not observe a pack or weapon. After receiving the AK rounds #49 bunker returned fire and engaged with small arms fire negative results. At 2115hrs MACV Duc Pho, requests I Urgent Dust Off for 1 PSDF with gunshot wound to chest, Patient taken to end of out Access Road for Pick up vicinity BS777444, Negative Vietnamese Air Force (GMJ), # 54 completed Dust Off to Quang Ngai at 2140hrs. Patient was wounded during contact 1000 meters north of Access Road. At 2205hrs PSDF 174, vicinity BS784434 VC fired 6 M-79 and 200 AK 47 incoming rounds results is 1 PSDF WIA, Dust Off requested upper chest wound from small arms fire, returned fire with 20 HE rounds Artillery 105mm on BS785436. At 2220hrs 1-20 Infantry Warlord Blue is on station for Box 64 and 66 and at 2325hrs left with negative findings. At 2330hrs Warlord Blues is moving into Nighthawk Box 62 and left box at 2355hrs and into Box 61 at 0010hrs. At 0050hrs Warlord Blue is out of Box 61 and at 0105hrs enters Box 60X and exit box at 0139rhs with negative findings. Legend: 1st Platoon 17, 2nd Platoon 44, 3rd Platoon 56, 4th Platoon 23, CO-64.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. SP4 Randy F. Ranson was attached to the 91st Evac Hospital.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued to use Patrol Bases and multiple patrolling in their Area of Operation. At 0747hrs Alpha Company 1st Platoon Patrol is at checkpoint 3 at BS729398. At 1735hrs Alpha Company 2nd Platoon Security Patrol at Nui Vong is moving out at this time. At 2013hrs Alpha Company Command Post and 1st Platoon night Defense Position at BS716405, with Alpha Company 2nd Platoon is closing on Nui Vong.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco and the Brigade move North to LZ Dottie and the 4 Battalion of 21 Infantry is preparing to return home.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company will continue their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. Delta Company

Delta Company has the Security Mission for LZ Liz. At 0400hrs Delta Company 1st Platoon moved to pre planned blocking force located at BS741450 and at 0455hrs Recon in blocking force position BS741450. At 0500hrs Delta Company 1st Platoon is in their blocking position at BS741450. At 0815hrs Delta Company 1st Platoon and Recon completed sweep of Ville, only finding were posters and leaflets in area of Recon and Delta Company 1st Platoon heading back to LZ Liz at this time. At 0825hrs Delta Company 1st Platoon and Recon have closed on LZ Liz at this time.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for 1-20 Infantry. At 0445hrs Recon is moving out to preplanned blocking force location vicinity BS741450 and closed at 0455hrs at BS741458. At 0815hrs Delta Company 1st Platoon and Recon completed sweep of Ville, only finding were posters and leaflets in area of Recon and Delta Company 1st Platoon heading back to LZ Liz at this time. At 0825hrs Delta Company 1st Platoon and Recon have closed on LZ Liz at this time.
