Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0415hrs 1-20 Infantry TMF String 74 was activated by 10 personnel that where moving east to west at 3 miles per hour with metal confirmed, the activation was intelligence only and wasn’t fired. At 0426hrs Nighthawk we had negative findings in box 67 and are breaking station. At 0835hrs 1-20 Infantry Day locations to be sent to MACV Mo Duc are BS735655, BS738658, BS719638, BS773575, BS735605, BS758601, BS753612, BS750583 and BS754603. At 0910hrs Delta Company 71 and Charlie Company 26 Engineer our present work location is at BS736599. At 1255hrs MACV Mo Duc the results of the Mortar attack on Mo Duc District headquarters is 13 WIA, 12 of them urgent. The suspected enemy grids are BS704555, BS707555, BS710560, BS697550, BS747550, BS743568 and BS744557. A pink team checked the area with negative findings. At 1445hrs Primo 3 picked up 1 male, approximately 25 years old, wearing blue pants and black shirt at BS780540, he will be evac to Military Intelligence he did have a ID. At 1530hrs Primo 3 we have 1 VC male KIA at BS710545. He was wearing a camouflaged hot, black uniform, and had a pistol belt also we also took small arms fire from a hootch. We spotted 1 VC in a blue uniform evading and engaged with negative findings, with a US flashlight, 1 grenade and a pouch of documents were CIA. At 1730hrs Charlie Company 26 Engineer at total of 27 hours were worked clearing 44 acres from BS735598 to BS736600 to BS739593 to BS741595 with 1 137mm mortar round destroyed. 3 D7 are operational with 1 D7 with a damaged belly pan and 1 with a defective heating system.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company will used Saturation Patrolling in their Area of Operation. At Alpha Company 1835hrs closed on there Night Defense Position at BS757389 and reported at 1959hrs all multiple snakes out tonight.
Bravo Company
June 28, 1970
Bravo Company is using Multiple Patrolling with patrol bases and cloverleaf operations in their Area of Operation today. At 1535hrs Bravo Company an ambulance is requested for one US who fell out of hammock and injured his back Name SP4 Noiel, Lorenzo Don, grid BS834396. At 2025hrs Bravo Company the SOI extract reported lost by Bravo Company at Twin Ville BS778445, was reported found by CPT Parker, The Bravo Company Commander at 2037hrs on 28 June 1970. At 2217hrs Bravo Company at BS783438 ambush received 2 hand grenades from an estimate distance of 45 meters. The hand grenades landed 8 meters outside their perimeter. Engaged suspected location with small arms fire and a reaction force from Command Post element moved to ambush site fired Illumination and swept of area with negative results, returned to Command Post location.
Charlie Company

Delta Company
June 28, 1970
At 0617hrs Delta Company 25 patrol is moving to BS736648 and at 0645hrs the 92 element is moving to BS710621. At 0740hrs Delta Company request a Regent Dust Off for 1 PF with a gunshot wound to the foot by sniper at BS744667 (enemy location BS744672). The Dust Off will be made at BS735655 under Delta Company control. At 0815hrs Delta Company the 25 element is blocking at checkpoint 3 at BS735630, the 23 element is moving to BS753668, the 91 element is at checkpoint 1 at BS745415 and the 92 element is at checkpoint 1 at BS731419. At 0910hrs Delta Company 71 and Charlie Company 26 Engineer our present work location is at BS736599. At 1200hrs Delta Company all patrols have closed with negative finding. At 1730hrs the 24 element on patrol BS741660 picked up one Vietnamese Female dressed in black approximately 35 years of age, with no ID. She was hiding and tried to evade, she was sent to Brigade Military Intelligence. We also pick up one male approximately 25-30, wearing a tan shirt and brown pants had a ID which looks to be false, He also take to Brigade. At 1905hrs the 24 element received 20 small sniper rounds from 250 meters to their northwest at BS760572, negative finding, damage, or casualties and artillery was not used due to the proximity of friendly.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. At 0600hrs 4.2 Platoon reports Fire Mission 6 for a total expended of 93 HE, 20 WP and 33 Illumination rounds. Echo Company Headquarters has the coordination responsibility for Base Defense. At 0920hrs Recon Platoon all elements are in location at BS776577. At 1330hrs Recon Platoon while moving from ambush locations we picked up 117 detainees with no ID and ranging in age from 17 to 43 with Mo Duc MACV Team 17 interrogating them at BS776577. The result is 3 female VCI on the black list who were dressed in black bottoms and white top, 5 VC. 1 male dressed in green pants and black top and 4 female dressed in purple pants and black bottoms (2 of them) 1 dressed in red and the other dressed in black bottoms and yellow top. All were in fair health. The detainees were picked up at grids BS763571 and BS760574. They were evac by MACV Team 17 to MO Duc MACV for further interrogations. At 2016hrs Recon Platoon the 21 snake is at BS734573, the 22 snake is at BS760583 and the 23 snake is at BS752753 the 24 snake is at BS754565 and the 25 snake is at BS778566.
