Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 1410hrs 1-20 Infantry Command and Control Helicopter at BS908300 report 1 VCS CIA 30 years old. At 1445hrs 1-20 Infantry reports 3 Man VCS CIA, 1 BS8331 in white shirt and gray pants, 2 at BS791381, 1 white shirt and black pants and 1 all gray.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Dragon. At 0910hrs Alpha Company at BS707535 detained 2 VC suspect evading.
Bravo Company
January 28, 1969
Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. Bravo Company conducts a Combat Assault PZ 0737hrs at Last LZ at 0755hrs at 26 BS795484, and 46 BS795475. At 1120hrs Bravo Company at BS786488 found dog tags in hut belonging to Butts, Terry L. At 1255hrs Bravo Company at BS797480 sub-element pin down by sniper fire AK 47 from east 100 meters and south 50 meters. The Command and Control Helicopter found 1 VC running into hut engaged with negative results, Bravo Company found rockets similar to the 105 blew in Place. At 1345hrs Bravo Company at BS798484 found 5 Punji pits, waist deep 12" stakes. At 1400hrs Bravo Company was extracted to LZ Liz.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Thunder. At 1710hrs Charlie Company on LZ Thunder following names EM were in a jeep at Thunder going to get a hair cuts, Driver shifted gear while going to fast and put on brakes and jeep turned over. (Names Romero, Robert - Tower Frank, - Watson, Joseph, - Maclaugherty, Timothy -Jansky, Raymond – Aleman, Arn- Walker, Roger) 4 EM were dusted off to Chu Lai completed.
Delta Company

Delta Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Charlie Brown. Delta Company had the Command and Control Helicopter picked up 1 VCS CIA 30 years old at BS908300. At 1940hrs Delta Company location are in the vicinity Delta Company 22 at BS911259, 23 at BS913263 and 24 at BS906266.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their LZ Liz Security Mission and have SRRP at BS705510, BS888223 and BS866292. At 1825hrs Recon platoon is located at BS733414.
