Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0015hrs 1-20 Infantry LZ Liz vicinity BS8339 observed a green flare being shot into the air. At 0145hrs E Troop at BS771461 tracks on Bridge #124 received 4 RPG rounds, 1 hit track, returned fire with unknown results. At 0440hrs 1-20 Infantry LZ Liz received 5 RPG rounds, negative casualties and negative damage, returned fire with 81mm mortar on BS731431, with negative assessment. At 0645hrs 1-20 TOC at 0645hrs LZ Thunder received 60mm and 81mm mortar, total of 2 rounds negative casualties and rounds came from the southwest. At 0925hrs 1-20 Infantry TOC REPORT at 2355hrs 27 February SRRP Calvin at BS850390 contact made on southeast of hill, possible 3-4 VC RPG came in 3 at a time total of 6 rounds. Also received Chi Com Hand Grenades also came in groups of 3 also received small arms fire from one weapon lasted for approximately 10 minute, 1 US M-16 was left behind extract at 0043hrs. At 1057hrs 1-20 Infantry vicinity BS886302 Charlie Company detain 1 VCS khaki shorts and military T-shirt 30 years old evac to LZ Liz. At 1125hrs 1-20 Infantry TOC vicinity BS913240 SRRP AXE had one WIA Dust OFF and extracted at 1208hrs. At 1125hrs 1-20 TOC in vicinity BS918207 reports Alpha Company 44 element received sniper fire working area with artillery. At 1240hrs 1-20 Infantry SRRP peanuts walked into position at BS874299. At 1415hrs 1-20 Infantry reports Charlie Company 3-1 Infantry 49 element is located at BS849391. At 1545hrs 1st Military Intelligence Team at BS787438 received sniper fire on Highway 1, negative casualties. 1-20 Infantry reports the OPCON Bravo and Charlie Companies 3-1 Infantry have rejoined their parent unit 3-1 Infantry. At 1810hrs Command and Control Helicopter at BS734397 observed 2 yellow and gray elephants heading north, were medium size, led by military people, appear to be carrying supplies.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 1200hrs E Troop 1st Calvary vicinity BS918205 convoy of empty vehicles going to Lowboy engaged by several automatic weapons fire, tracks engaged joined by 3 APC from Lowboy fire ceased at 1250hrs after artillery called 1 WIA (M) from E 1st Calvary convoy has regrouped and will continue. Headquarters and Headquarter Company reports SP4 David M. Morgan was evac to the 312th Evac Hospital at 1000hrs with frag wounds to left arm and SP4 Harold Anderson was evac to the 312th Evac Hospital.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Charlie Brown with 44 on Bridge 94 and 45 on Bridge 95. At 0750hrs Alpha Company report 74 on Bridge 94 and 75 is on Bridge 95 and 44 is at BS921200. At 1125hrs Alpha Company 44 at BS918207 received sniper fire will working the area and returned with Artillery fire. At 1845hrs Alpha Company location are 18 at BS931231 and 49 at BS934232. 1-20 Infantry reports on SRRP at 1140hrs Axe vicinity BS913240 Dust Off called for 1 WHA (E) by sniper fire gun shot wound in head. Dust Off completed at 1203hrs, and SRRP was extracted at 1208hrs. At 1240hrs SRRP peanuts walked in to BS874299. Alpha Company reports SP4 JOHN WILLIAMS MASSEY JR was evac to the 312th Evac Hospital (Check March 1, 1969).
Bravo Company

Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. At 0120hrs Bravo Company at BS771561 on Bridge 124 heard loud explosion 300 meters south and 50 meters west of their location, also received small arms fire, with negative casualty, returned fire with negative results. At 0440hrs LZ Liz received 5 RPG rounds, negative casualties and negative damage, returned fire with 81mm on BS761431 with negative assessment. At 2210hrs Bravo Company at BS771461 received small arms fire from estimated squad of VC, negative results fire artillery with unknown results. 1-20 Infantry reports on SRRP. At 1140hrs Alpha Company Axe vicinity BS913240 requested Dust Off, called for 1 WHA (E) by sniper fire gunshot wound in head. Dust Off completed at 1203hrs, and SRRP was extracted at 1208hrs. At 1240hrs SRRP peanuts walked in to BS874299.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Thunder. At 0102hrs LZ Thunder received 4 rounds unknown type mortars, results 2 US WHA, evac, engaged the area with unknown results. At 0645hrs LZ Thunder received 2 rounds 60mm or 82mm, with negative casualties. At 1057hrs Charlie Company 44 at BS880302 detained 1 VC suspect for questioning, wearing khaki shorts and military T-shirt, 30 and evac to LZ Liz. At 1845hrs Alpha Company 18 is in their night position at BS878330. 1-20 Infantry reports on SRRP at 1140hrs Axe vicinity BS913240 requested a Dust Off, for 1 WHA (E) by sniper fire gunshot wound in head. Dust Off completed at 1203hrs, and SRRP was extracted at 1208hrs. At 1240hrs SRRP peanuts walked in to BS874299.
Delta Company

Delta Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Dragon. At 0420hrs LZ Dragon received 2 unknown type rounds, 1 of which was an air burst and at 0450hrs received 3 more rounds, negative casualties, return fire with unknown results. At 0935hrs Delta Company 74 is located at BS737518. At 1700hrs Delta Company at BS735522 detained 3 VCS who are suspected draft dodgers, evac to LZ Bronco. 1-20 Infantry reports on SRRP at 1140hrs Axe vicinity BS913240 Dust Off called for 1 WHA (E) by sniper fire gun shot wound in head. Dust Off completed at 1203hrs, and SRRP was extracted at 1208hrs.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Charlie Brown, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. At 1845hrs Recon Platoon report their location at BS762436.
