Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Dottie and will continued to work with ARVN units their Area of Operations. At 0922hrs 1-20 Infantry TOC requested aerial scouts to conduct Aerial Recon of the 1-20 Infantry Area of Operation boundaries on 28 and 30 September 1968 with special emphasis on area of east coast. Also request a snatch can be conducted if possible. Request the Air strikes come on the 1-20 Infantry command frequency contact 95. Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.

At 0922hrs Charlie Company will continue to use Search and Clear Operations in their area of Operations vicinity BS567843. At 1750hrs Charlie Company set up Night Defense Position with Delta Company at BS545830. Charlie Company reports with a couple of LP locations out tonight at BS543838 and BS538834. At 1750hrs in their Night Defense Position had one man trip a booby trap which results in 4 US WHA, All serious, Dust Off Completed at 1935hrs. Report from Chu Lai was 2 were KHA and 1 WHA serious and 1 minor. At 1917hrs Charlie Company at BS845830, had 1 man trip a Booby trap and results 4 US WHA, all serious, Dust Off completed at 1935hrs and all personnel where evac to Chu Lai now 2 KHA and 1 serious and 1 minor. At 2100hrs Colonel Henderson directed a slick be sent to Charlie Company Rear and have personnel from rear to identification of 2 KHA aircraft was clearance approved by Division TOC. Charlie Company reports CPL DENNIS WAYNE VAUGHN AND SGT JOHN ALLEN WOOD LISTED AS KHA. Charlie Company reports the following PFC Ronald L. Speer and PFC Charles F. Ward where evac to 2nd Surgical Hospital.
Delta Company

At 0807hrs Delta Company reports their location at BS563846 and conducting Search & Clear Operations in their Area of Operation. At 1215hrs Delta Company reports their location at BS557837. Charlie & Delta Companies set up their Night Defense Position is vicinity BS545830 Delta Company with a ambush 67- BS547824. At 1745hrs Late Message to 1-20 Infantry to move one company to Air Strip at Quang Ngai to replace Bravo Company 1-46 Infantry send 1 man to Quang Ngai to coordinate with departing Company Commander.
Echo Company

Echo Company is located at LZ Dottie where Battalion Forward is and coordinates with the Battalion Rear Elements and Base Defense elements on LZ Dottie. The 4.2 Platoon is located on LZ Dottie where they continue to provide direct fire support for the (1-20 Infantry Battalion). Recon Platoon reports that they have a Security Mission on LZ Dottie and the 1-20 Infantry.
